Some of you probably already noticed, but for those who didn't, "The Joker" on myspace posted this in a bulletin...

Now, it probably just references the fact that he has a redone page. But it would be sweet if some sort of virals started up again to promote dvd sales. Very, very, very unlikely I know. But as somebody who still has viral withdrawals, I'll grasp onto anything.

It also got me thinking..WB has published ads promoting TDK as Best Picture and also promoting Heath as Best Supporting Actor for the oscars. The latter especially seems like a great opportunity to start up some type of Joker viral marketing. If simply posting an ad in a magazine is supposed to help remind people of Heath's performance, imagine the effect a mob of goons would have now, after pretty much everybody has seen the movie at least once. Again, extremely unlikely that they would start the virals up again, but we can hope, right?

I'm always up for fan-organised mischief. If they're not going to do it themselves, put the opportunity in the hands of the people.

I'm liking the mob of goons image.

It would be nice to see the virals up and running again promoting the release of the DVD. A few months ago I made my own viral website for the Gotham Girl Scouts and plastered it all over the web for a contest I was taking part in. A bunch of people ended up hitting it up thinking it was a new promotion of some sort. LOL

Oh, by chance do you have a link to this Joker in particular on MySpace? I'm not sure if I'm come across his profile yet... then again, I have so many different Jokers in my friends, it's hard to tell who is who. XD

They have a "fan of the month" contest up on the page now. Winner gets a dvd and other "gifts"
