Visual Effects of X-Men 3

What could have been if Singer stayed....or Vaughn stayed....or if Brett came in when Vaughn did...

 Why the hell didn't they use that?!

Thats what I wanna know!!

I WANT A SPECIAL EDITION OF X3!! WITH EVERYTHING JEAN/PHOENIX Surrounded BY FIRE, FLAMES! AND THE FIREBIRD!!! FOR GODSAKES!

WHY!?!... Gah this makes me MAD!!! makes me wish IT WAS IN IT!

Its always bad to see what they 'could have done'. If you are mad now I suggest not watching behind the scenes on the DVD. That will have loads of talk about scenes and things that would have been included if they had time + money.

I hate Rothman, now that I've seen these. DAMN YOU, TOM ROTHMAN!

Ratner said he wanted to release X3 at a later date thus moving it to Thanksgiving for more time.

NO. FOX Wouldn't have that!!! GAH! :(

If that time was a GIVEN, WE COULD HAVE SEEN WHAT WE JUST SAW on the previous Page of this thread. GAH!

That last bit looks like the Phoenix rising from the lake.

... I feel ur pain. dude... :( Im more upset than ever. this is what I wanted to see ever since I saw the teaser a few months ago!

I wonder why he used those images from X2? Were they going to show more flashbacks at Alkali Lake?

I wonder why they didn't use those firebird effects? Were they too expensive, not finished at the time they needed to wrap the movie? Were they thought to be too over-the-top?

I hope we get them on the DVD!

I'm totally sure that what X-men need is another studio, sorry for Fox. I preffer Sony or Warner, they would have made a better adaptation, included the Phoenix stuff. It's like doing Superman, but for money reasons, he doesn't fly... Come on!!! dammit.

Apparently too expensive. I imagine if they had brought it out later this year then we would have seen the Phoenix Effect

I'm guessing they wanted to go with a whole different approach with Phoenix. With the movies, they tend to water down the powers of the mutants so they don't look too over the top. They try to keep it a bit more believable for the audiences I think. The less glowing people, and great waves of fire, the more realistic. I personally don't think this is true, however. A little sparkage from Phoenix would have been great to watch. But I can't say I'm not happy with how it turned out.

much appreciated you posting this Retroman :)

sigh, I wish they used those fire FX at least once in the movie, either for Phoenix rising or Alcatraz. Maybe we'll see them on the DVD, maybe that's what Ratner meant when he said the DVD will have new footage but not an extended cut.

Wow those are gorgeous! Damn, Fox really messed up on this movie...

... PhillopPhoenix said her father and some other guys are gonna be returning to finish up these effects and scenes... Not sure what to believe...but there's a chance...we'll see FAMKE in all her Fiery GLORY!! She's the soul reason I became a fan. I'm A FIRE LOVER. :( ... And my hopes were ROBBED by FOX.

What a bunch of Stupid IDIOTS. They should have let Ratner give him MORE TIME. BUT NO!. Stupid FOX! I HATE YOU!

I think everyone wanted the Phoenix bird in.

It's a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions that they did not use those Phoenix effects. However, the house scene could not have been more brilliantly conceived in my opinion.
