Nice picture.

I'm still really annoyed about the comments she made in an interview somewhere that were posted in the articles thread though.

Like I said there: Don't read to much in 6 lines of interview :p

In response to the Ellen Page Interview:

I commend Ellen Page. I think she is completely entitled to her opinion. She didnt say the film was bad, but for someone who is more familiar with the cozy, more intimate film-making of indie films, it makes sense for her to say so. i have heard many stars say how daunting a big-budget film can be and its not for eevryone. I saw "Hard Candy" just two weekends ago, and let me tell you, Page is a fine actress with a long career ahead of her. Her performance was flawless and intense. I am still looking forward to her.

Also, as a side note, I dont know why anyone would get offended about her saying that comment about people online saying things about her. It's true. Yes, people are excited for her now, but I've only read the most terrible things about her appearance. How unnatractive she is or how her forehead rises. She's a very beautiful girl. I remember Anna always getting flack to when she was cast. Just because she isnt a porn star, doesnt mean that her beauty is any less. Not every woman in these films should exude sexual energy. In real life, there are modest beauties. There are people who dont have shiny lips or beautifully built bodies. That doesnt take away anything. What i care about is wether or not she does a great performance.

That is *so* cute. I love her dress. Such a cutiepie.

And because I'm really, really, reheally lazy... Did she say something bad about X3 in that interview? :O

Nice copy paste Laz :p
I agree with you though, people are reading way to much in what she's saying.

We always claim we want actual actors in these comic book roles, but a lot of them are basically doing high class indie stuff, and it's a definite change of pace on their end.

No, she merly said that she'd prefer doing Indie Films and commented on people's harsh judgment of her being cast. No Big Deal.

Aah. No biggie then. :)

How does that saying go in English, to make an ant out of a molehill or something :p

A mountian out of a molehill means to make a small situation into a much bigger one. ie) Over reacting

Of course she's entitled to her opinion, and I agree. She's sure to be an amazing Kitty, and she's a great actress. I just didn't like the way she put her opinion. No one twisted her arm into doing a big budget film. She could have said no.

Also, as a side note, I dont know why anyone would get offended about her saying that comment about people online saying things about her. It's true. Again, it's the way she put it. She generalised the online community as somehow being a lesser type of person, which I thought was in bad taste.

I'm still looking forward to her role in the movie, and I still think she's an amazing actress, but this last interview has diminished my respect for her as a person.

She said:

"It’s not really my thing, and I cannot wait to go back to smaller, more challenging movies. "

Fair enough. She clearly doesn't think much to X3 as a challenge, but each to their own.

"And I’m sure there are going to be all these guys on the Internet saying ‘oh, how dare she play Kitty Pryde; she’s terrible and ugly and doesn’t fit the role.’ But then I’ll just realize they’re just some guys hiding on the Internet. And I can deal with that."

It's this that annoys me. Yes, people did criticise her, but to assume they're 'hiding on the internet' is a ridiculous generalisation to make.

Again, I've still high hopes for Ellen and Kitty. She's quoted in my sig. I just think her last comment about those online wasn't a very sensible way to put it. :down

She didnt do that at all. She said that those critisising her are just people hiding on the internet. At no point in that 20+ second interview did she say a bad word about the internet or the online community.

Even if she did say that, is she wrong?

That doesn't seem like a very positive statement about the online community to me.They're just some guys hiding on the internet. Hiding? Nice.

No doubt we're reading her comments in different ways, but the way I read them, she's putting down the online community. If you disagree then fair play to you. We all have different opinions.

Your just mad because you said she had a big forehead and she saw it and is now fighting back.

:D

Ellen does have a big forehead! :O

I've always been pretty much pro-Ellen however, and I'm really looking forward to seeing her in action. That's why I'm a little upset that she took a little jibe at the online community, of which I'm a member of.

I have to agree with some of the others on here. In her interview, she really didn't say anything offensive to the online community, only to those who choose to insult her. Therefore, she is entitled to her comment.

You say she has a big forehead. She says your a guy hiding behind the internet. You both may be wrong, but it's canceled out at this point. End of story. Now let's move on to actual, positive Ellen/Kitty talk. She's a human being people.. C'mon.

I'm sorry for being crass or difficult, but I feel sternly about this. Are you or anyone on the world perfect in every way? No. We shouldnt insult someone. We wouldnt like others to judge us.. So by saying this, I understand what she meant.. Some of us are in fact hiding behind the internet.
