The fact that the Perez-Wolfman Titans era has been ret-conned away is ridiculous and a definite display that the PTB at DC right now are so full of themselves and their "kewl" ideas that they can't recognize they that throwing out their classic stories and characters for their agenda is unnecessary, shortsighted and stupid. (I'm mad at Marvel too, but that's another post)

Throw in Donna Troy and Starfire and Roy Harper (who are both in the Nu52, but awful versions of the characters). I think it's fair to say nobody has been decimated more than the first generation of Teen Titans (the Haney-era) and the second generation (Wolfman/Perez era). Only Cyborg has seemed to get a higher profile.

You know, there was a reason why New Teen Titans was DC's top-selling title in the early 1980s and a lot of people still have affection for those characters.

And with this version, we are introduced to a "troubled" black youth in a police station after being "arrested" for "graffiti" ('cause that's what we do). Annnnd of course he needs "guidance" from "you know who"........

How many times has this tired story been told by liberal writers who don't think of themselves as racist, but only think of black folks in one way.

Why couldn't this Wally have two parents, be from a well adjusted home and be a great student in school......not asking for him to be the valedictorian....but I'm sure tired of the "Lean On Me" stereotypical black kid. SMH

That's actually the biggest reason why I hated that they were making Wally half-black. Not because of the skin change, but because I knew, flat out ****ing knew, some idiot at DC was going to do the whole cliched troubled black youth thing. Black Wally wouldn't be bad at all if they kept the same personality.
