There was a window where Chris Pine would've been the perfect Hal Jordan. Such a waste using him as Steve Trevor instead. Bah!

Yeah but he was great as Steve Trevor, at least in the first WW. I mean, if we are comparing Pine as Trevor in WW to him potentially playing Hal in Martin Campbell’s GL movie… Pine definitely made the right call.

To me a big part of Martin Campbell's GL problem was that Reynolds was miscast as Hal.
I’d say Hector Hammond being the villain along with a Parrallax that lacks any personality was a much bigger problem than Reynolds. But that film has lots of issues (even if I think it’s not as bad as most people seem to think.)

It has many issues, yes indeed. And Reynolds as Hal was a big one for me. Along with the costume designs.

There were bits of that film I liked, but a lot I didn't - and one of my main gripes was definitely their portrayal of Hector Hammond. He looked like a bargain store Ron Jeremy with severe daddy issues and Sarsgard just seemed totally out of step in the role.

Yeah even before he turned into a mutant, he looked like he was cosplaying Dr. Forrester from Mystery Science Theater. Just cheesy and awful all around.

Liv Tyler would have been a great pick for Wonder Woman in the 2000s.

I could her see standing alongside Christian Bale as Batman, and Josh Hartnett as Superman. Not necessarily a crossover, but it would have been nice to see the Trinity better represented.

Batman Begins (2005)
Superman: Birthright (2006)
Wonder Woman (2007)

In terms of other actors who could have played Spiderman in the 80s , I throw in Matthew Broderick ( Ferris Buller's Day Off , War Games), and Andrew McCarthy ( Class , Pretty In Pink )

1725814164351.png
If we're talking the early 80s, college aged version, Broderick demonstrated in War Games his ability to play an loveable, yet awkward and brilliant tech nerd.
At the same time, Ferris Buller demonstrated how he could be a humorous, snarky and quick witted , rascal .
As an actor , Broderick would have been capable of playing both sides of Peter/ Spiderman convincingly imo

1725814701581.png
Though he was much more the leading man heartthrob type in terms of casting in the 80s, he also had the ability to play a bit of the outsider, and could pull off being
the more shy and awkward Peter Parker .
Despite his looks , he could have believably played a Peter who may not always get the girl he wants.
In films like Class and St. Elmo's Fire, he also showed his more vulnerable introspective side .
The actor is also a New Yorker , and could have convincingly, played the sarcastic and witty side of Spiderman .

Still holding out some hope that Bautista plays Kratos. Though he’s slimmed down a bit lately and I think he’s said that he doesn’t want to be running around with his shirt off all the time so that might not happen.

For me, there is only one 80's pick for Peter Parker and that is Michael J Fox.

With AI these days, you can make a trailer. :o

If they had made a big budget , 1990s Fantastic Four film , I could see them casting four stars of the era as the team members .

This cast would cost a fortune, but this is who I would have liked to see :

Steven Spielberg's Fantastic Four

While it would have been expensive to make in the 1970s , a big budgeted X Men film , could have looked something like this

THE UNCANNY X MEN ( 1970s)

I saw Warpingfist's recent video a few hours and I wanted to do something a bit different with this one.

Putting aside the Arrowverse and the Nolanverse, I wondered what his Batman would've looked like and who's going to play that version.

1743228051268.png1743228577746.png

I did a short 2000s Worlds Finest series not too long ago and I casted Jim Caviezel as the Routhverse Batman. However, I think I should've done something similar towards the age gaps like Michael Keaton and Christoper Reeve.

I have a list of choices on who should play the Routhverse Batman when Brandon Routh was 24 while playing Superman during that time.

- Colin Farrell
it was reported/rumored he was going to play Batman from that cancelled batman vs superman film back in the mid 2000s. I think he would've been a decent choice during that time after his role from The Minority Report.

Benjamin McKenzie
I know he voiced him in the Year One film and he did played Gordon in the Gotham show but I'm pretty sure he could possibly play as Batman during that time (if Bale passed the role) and he's a year older than Brandon Routh.
1743231144688.png

Other Choices:
Michael Fassbender, Josh Harnett, Karl Urban.
I could keep Christian Bale unless it's separated from his Nolan Batman.

The Costume:
- I pictured the suit having mixed elements from the cancelled Batman Year one concept art suit x Hugh Weaving's V long coat caped suit. Something like James Holland's Batman Concept Art (2019).
- I'm staying away from the leather suit trend since the materials wouldn't work out in the routhverse imo.
- The suit colors could be blue and grey or black and grey.
- Keeping some parts of the Batman Begins suit such as the arms and boots.
- This is optional but the gloves could be purple like the first appearance suit.

1743233859865.png

I wanted to remake my Routhverse Batman suit including a redesign of Brandon Routh's Superman suit but I'm not ready for that one rn since I'm busy with a couple of my Marvel edits.

For Harley Quinn In the 90s, there are several actresses who I think could have been Great during the Burton or Schumacher era

Patricia Arquette ( True Romance )

Marissa Tomei ( My Cousin Vinny)

Cameron Diaz ( The Mask )

Had they made a Spider-man film during the Indie film boom of the 1990s, I could see a director like Gus Van Sant or Sam Mendes , putting together a Moody Spiderman film cast ,
which could look something like this

SPIDER-MAN ( Mid To Late 90s)
