Thank You !

There was a window where Chris Pine would've been the perfect Hal Jordan. Such a waste using him as Steve Trevor instead. Bah!
Yeah but he was great as Steve Trevor, at least in the first WW. I mean, if we are comparing Pine as Trevor in WW to him potentially playing Hal in Martin Campbell’s GL movie… Pine definitely made the right call.
I’d say Hector Hammond being the villain along with a Parrallax that lacks any personality was a much bigger problem than Reynolds. But that film has lots of issues (even if I think it’s not as bad as most people seem to think.)To me a big part of Martin Campbell's GL problem was that Reynolds was miscast as Hal.

Dave Bautista as a Latin American Bane.
Yes I know he's Greek/Filipino.
In terms of other actors who could have played Spiderman in the 80s , I throw in Matthew Broderick ( Ferris Buller's Day Off , War Games), and Andrew McCarthy ( Class , Pretty In Pink )

If we're talking the early 80s, college aged version, Broderick demonstrated in War Games his ability to play an loveable, yet awkward and brilliant tech nerd.
At the same time, Ferris Buller demonstrated how he could be a humorous, snarky and quick witted , rascal .
As an actor , Broderick would have been capable of playing both sides of Peter/ Spiderman convincingly imo

Though he was much more the leading man heartthrob type in terms of casting in the 80s, he also had the ability to play a bit of the outsider, and could pull off being
the more shy and awkward Peter Parker .
Despite his looks , he could have believably played a Peter who may not always get the girl he wants.
In films like Class and St. Elmo's Fire, he also showed his more vulnerable introspective side .
The actor is also a New Yorker , and could have convincingly, played the sarcastic and witty side of Spiderman .
In that case ,For me, there is only one 80's pick for Peter Parker and that is Michael J Fox.
With AI these days, you can make a trailer. In that case ,
Robert Zemeckis's Spiderman (1980s)
