while i blame the writers for that crappy dialogue, i also blame nolan for hiring fugly homely lookin katie holmes, and now....and even homlier looking gyllenhall. sad,....sad. in every batman film, there was at least one piece of delightful eye candy. but hiring these 2 godawful lookin girls to play what is already a lame part, its like a big slap in the face to us fans who want to see a good looking gorgeus woman in skintight leather or some kinda babe to enjoy.

I've heard about it for the first/fifth film. You could try YouTube maybe. I've heard there wasn't one for this years film.

But in America I hear more about TDK....well sorry I don't represent America lol, but my town people seem more talkative of TDK then Iron Man. I think Spidey 3 left a lot with a sour taste in their mouth for Marvel. But just in the general public kinda people I know they know of TDK and sound excited for it.

I Am Legend was huge in the US, even though I did not like it. But still the trailer for TDK was seen by a huge chunk of movie goers here. But I do agree time to kick the marketing into full gear, I have a feeling in March that will be so.

Recently, I've heard a lot of talk about TDK from the public(yes, mostly due to Heath's death unfortunately). On the other hand, only some of my geeky friends have a clue about Iron Man.

A simple google search shows me that Begins indeed had a Superbowl spot. The sequel is suppose to be twice as big, with much more buzz so I don't see why Begins would have a superbowl spot but not TDK. I can only assume one was planned for the Bowl but they decided not to air it due to obvious reasons...

I'm sure when it comes out the film will get plenty of mentions in the news programmes because it is Heath's last film. So they will be sure to mention it when it's released. Unfortunate but true.

All my lawyer friends, both guys and girls are ALWAYS asking me about TDK... It's in the mainstream, and not only that, but it's even more anticipated than Indy IV. It's pretty much the most anticipated movie of 2008.

It might be best if they wait a month or two until they do ad campaigns. Because they don't want a backlash about them being tasteless. Especially with the media ready and willing to do crappy "journalism" (or really tabloid like journalism that television also does as well plus other media). They love to attack things. Also maybe they should wait until awhile after Heath's cause of death is revealed. As far as I know it hasn't been yet. You just don't want to get caught up with that. Look how they said Superman was gay because of an article in a magazine. I hope they are cautious.

There's no doubt that WB should be careful to strike the right tone; I just wonder whether the superbowl wasn't too grand a stage to abandon. How many viewers would have found the movie conspicuous by its absence? I'm not sure.

I must admit, even as a big Indy fan, and as someone who expected Indy to do better this summer- TDK has gotten far more buzz as of now.

Oh yeah I would totally agree with leaving the advertisement for a bit. Maybe the next round focus on Dent, Batman more etc.
Then when May, June rolls around when people are more settled focus more on the Joker and such.

Also there is a new trailer soon to come out next month with joker, more dent, and batman. Probably coming out mid-february.

Warner Bros. never had a spot planned for the super bowl. they didn't want to waste money for something everyone is going to see.
