I'd forgotten how bad X-Men: Destiny was. God. X-Men games have been sad at best for a while now, I'd take anything legit.

Sad? You mean nonexistent? Destiny is the worst X-Men videogame and we haven't a follow up since then.

Just the mere fact that you can't choose the X-Men as a character to control was a just dumb decision. Also, it lacked of variety when it came to locations and enemies.

i really enjoyed Marvel Heroes Omega more than I thought I would, and would be nice to have a game like that again, especially one focusing on the X-Verse

i wish Marvel could come out with something like DCUniverse Online too. i enjoy playing that every now and then

Marvel is working with Square Enix on a new console game with the working title of "the Avengers project". According to a 4chan leak, the game will be a sort of Ultimate Alliance reboot. Other sources claim it will feature an online mode and they're considering 70 playable characters. So maybe X-men? It will be such a letdown if this game doesn't have any mutants.

its an Avengers game. The only mutants anyone should expect is those with a strong association with that brand which includes Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Beast among others. The only other X-men that has a strong chance of being in is Wolverine

Bc of the movie debacle. It’s pretty well known that that is the reason Marvel decreased their X-men promotion

But they are getting the rights soon enough and I'm not sure if there would be a console X-Men videogame happening anytime soon. Also before the MCU blew up. They could have at least released a X-Men Legends IiI, and not just Destiny and those movie tie in videogames.

I feel like its been too long now to get an X-Men Legends III. they had plenty of time since 2005 to make a 3rd one but instead we got an X3 game, an Origins game, and the more recent one X-Men: Destiny (2011)

For F's sake! I hope get more X-men than that. I'm tired of the X-men being some sort of fringe Marvel property. Especially in videogames. Not too long ago Marvel games stated they had the rights to almost all the characters including the X-men. THEN WHY NOT PUT THE FREAKING X-MEN IN THERE?! Instead of just the predictable ones. Yes, they don't have the movie rights but they still have the X-men fans. It's so shortsighted!

Them getting the rights is a very recent thing. It hasnt gone through and its only got announced several months ago. That wsnt a factor in why there havent been any X-men games prior bc the purchase didnt exist prior to 2018

Disney purchased Marvel in 2009 and coincidentally the last console X-men game was Destiny in 2011. That all coincided with when the MCU started to blow up. Destiny was a great idea; the execution however was awful primarily bc Activision handed it to an awful studio bc Ravensoft, which did the original XML games had since been moved onto Call of Duty which was making millions for them

bc its not an X-men or Marvel Universe game; its an Avengers. For Avengers, they should only stick to the Avengers and fortuately there has been quite a bit of overlap in recent years from Wolverine, Storm, Cable, Havok, Rogue. Honestly though Wolverine and Beast are the only ones I see having the most chance to be included. With that said the last Avengers game on console had Phoenix as a playable character and she had never been on the team so who knows

It is. Its been almost 15 years. Most of the people involved with the last game have moved on and I dont believe that team exists as it was. Plus Activision doesnt have the rights. Even if they were to get it back, the game would only be XML in name. Its been so long that they wouldnt be wise to continue where 2 left off and the only recourse would be to have it be a complete reboot. Gaming itself has changed so much since then. They'd be better off starting a new franchise instead. I dont think the XML name really carries alot of weight that it needs to be salvaged

yeah but alot of longtime series that are still around have still been making games so they've been adapting and building on their foundation every few years. Anything thats taken a 15 year break is going to need to be quite different

there wont be. For one X-Men Legends is an Activision IP, not SE. SE are already confirmed to be making an Avengers game and we've seen nothing of that so that game is what will likely be showcased. The only other game they are rumored to have is a Guardians one but I dont expect that to be announced until the Avengers one is closer to release. Anyone expecting an X-men game announced for E3 is gonna be disappointed

Give us:

(1) a brand new Xmen game that will blow all our mins (figuratively speaking), with a full roster
(2) a re-release of Xmen vs. Streetfighter (the old arcade game), XMen Legends I, and maybe another great XMen game, in one disc for PS4, Xbox and PC?
(3) An Avengers game with a handful of XMen characters in it including Rogue & Gambit please.

I promise I will buy all of them.

I would love another X-Men Legends videogame but...
-But with more view options, 3rd person, 1st person and the traditional XML cameras
-Same roster as the first one (Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Phoenix, Rogue, Iceman, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Beast, Colossus, Gambit, White Queen and Psylocke) but no Magma and Xavier as playables. Then include Bishop, Havok, Banshee, Polaris, Dazzler, Sunfire and Angel as playables.
-More single missions where you can't really choose who's to play.
-Control the blackbird
