Hi guys...sorry, i'm having problems with the internet because i'm out of my town, so i can follow this thread very slowly :(
however i had an idea with the web-shooter...if we connect a small air-compressor (that will be mounted on our forearm) to the trigger, and then to the capsule containing the formula, can we have a proper "saving space-shooter"??
I can link a draw i made just minutes ago...sorry for the quality!

Good night everyone.
Let me know what do you think about it :)
Ps: sorry for the rolled-out image.

Wow, this forums jumped back up. The polymer solution is
Cellulose acetate
Neoprene 60A
Polyvinyl Alcohol (pva)
Acetone
Water
Contact Cement.

As for WW
You said to select a part to build. I am gonna go with the web shooter.

It's good to be back :)

Is that as final as it can get right now? What testing has been done? Sorry, but my knowledge of chemistry is worse than my knowledge of engineering and I can't even come close to understanding anything on the web fluid thread.

OK this is just a suggestion but why not use rice as an adhesive? because its pretty sticky once its mashed up.

And if somebody that doesn't mind could post a list of things that will be needed for the web shooter not the web fluid.

I think that's a good shooter I'm about to finish mine but I can't find the co2 cartidges and the fluid materials

Thank you! However, i'm tryin' to check if it is possible to find a smaller compressor to mount on the forearm.
Any suggestion please?
also, it's time to implement the polymer formula :\

For a small compresser, a coke bottle? The mini ones? But a Schrader valve in it

Well first you'll need a valve and actuator, so basically the spinneret and something to activate it like a solenoid valve and microcontroller. Next, tubing with couplers. The tubing must be solvent resistant and flexible. Couplers connect one end of the tube to the valve and the other to the pressure vessel. Finally, the pressure vessel. It must be solvent resistant and hold a lot of pressure, at least 115 psi. It can be cartridges, cans, a backpack, or a capsule built into the shooter. Just make sure it is filled with your web fluid and pressurized with a schrader valve and a bike pump/co2.

I can't believe were already this close to 40 pages! Didn't the original web shooter shop class close because it had 40 pages?

I've made another pressure vessel. With the exception of the spinneret, I'm willing to do viscosity tests, but I want to get my new solenoid valves first. I'm not sure if any of you pieced this together, but the tilt valve has two problems. The first is that you can't make a spinneret on it easily. The second issue is that unless you get a sensitive valve, you'll shoot your fingers with webbing. Gross. It will stick and harden into your hand.
