I can't believe were already this close to 40 pages! Didn't the original web shooter shop class close because it had 40 pages?
We don't even have 30 yet, but I know what you mean; we're moving along quite quickly.
Anyone want some pictures of my prototype casing and battery lays?
EDIT: This post started the thirtieth page.... that was interesting.

Aw man, I was looking forward to using a tilt valve as kinda like a mark 1 noir shooter. And I'm not really trying to use a spinneret, I just want webs that splatter everywhere to trap someone to something. What about setting the lever at an angle?

And yes I would like to see pics of the prototype, and that is interesting.

What is the gears for anyway, to spin the spinneret? If so, what's spinning the gears?
the gears don't spin the spinnerete they activate the locking mechanism of the cartridge and activates the fluid gauge.

Explanation:
theres a small spring-loaded metal clutch next to the cartridge cavity slot,so when a cartridge is inserted the clutch unlocks which lets the gears spin because of a mainspring in the gear.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainspring
All the gears will move correspondingly move a metal pistion that slides to activate the LED based pressure gauge. The piston is linked to a metal node so when to webbing is passing through the spinnerete the metal node is pushed due to the CO2 pressure which also pushes the piston in the gauge to show the amount of fluid left.
Pretty complicated process.

Hi, i'm interested in the pictures of your prototype :)...thanks in advance!

However guys, i think that the survival cable made of kevlar it's the answer...thanks to infinitecrator0 for the search!
If we concentrate to add the adhesive part to the cable, i think it's done!...and then, maybe we can improve step by step the project...
Any ideas? I was thinking..if the cable passes through another capsule containing the adhesive formula? would it be possible?
White_whidow, what do you think about it?

I personally think that your idea is a very promising solution. If we can think of a way that the adhesive can stick to the end of the kevlar cord, then I think we have done it. Perhaps White widow can enlighten us, about the ''capsule containing the webbing formula'' you said. But it is great idea, though!

You guys are missing the point of Widow's formula, even though I've been working on the idea he had about the thread covered in adhesive for a little bit, anyway they aren't going to use that because we're making web "fluid".

Well, actually you are right man. I just thought that aracno's idea was cool. But as you said, we are trying to make a web ''fluid'', so this scenario can be discussed after we create the webbing formula, as an alternative way...

The problem with kevlar is that it is too strong. The molecular bonds between kevlar strains are so well off that it has to deal with massive acid treatment before we can even tamper with it. Kevlar's good, but it's pricey.

Thank you Aris, this would be so great!
However White whidow said that's an hard solution :\...it's such a shame, i think that with the kevlar we can make something working...i really hope so!

to White Widow: the kevlar cable costs $6.99... http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ee80/?pfm=Search&t=kevlar look at this...the third photo it's amazing!

You are right, it was just an idea...because the formula would be a landmark, but it's very hard to arrive to the right conclusion...
I was thinking that between the search to the formula, we can also try to use other methods...it was just that :)

but you forgot that Peter on the movie uses something called biocable
To all of you guys check this web shooter http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nSIad6hlqLw
I think that that is awsome and if we can do that then it will be the backpack design what do you think guys???

Yeah, I was just going to post a link of that. This guy makes more progress on webshooters than I do, and I'm upset about it. I mean I gotta give him props! But I learned that you have to work with what you have. That guy made his with a prop webshooter he made, a pressure switch, a backpack, some tubing, a swiffer wetjet electric pump, and a swiffer wetjet storage vessel that holds water, and he modified to be refillable. He probably had that stuff lying around his house, where no one was using it at all. See, working with what you have. So I think he did an amazing job!

That kid also spent a lot of money on the Biocable.

i think that white widow is right, swinging is saved for grappling hooks, and webs are saved for maybe criminals or something. That's why i have it on my design as both.

Dont look to my post count Please Respond

I guess all liquids can be turned into steam on enough temperature. Is there any possibility to warm mixture till it is get to steam and compress it to 8 grams cartridge with high pressure probably it is able with industriel compression machines. because you cant compress liquids so there need to be way for it
And one more 8 grams cartridge for Co2. Both tubes need to be connected Y shaped pipe and controlled with one valve . I dont know actually how to do but This is just my theory .If 8 grams too less it can be 12 grams .
Second Theory
So if you noticed in some of spiderman games especially amazing spidermans android game or pc (dont have pc version) whatever It is like ALL push force goes for start of web so this is part which is sticking to surface . When all force goes to that part person just need to keep web valve open It should pull web from cartridge. And If you watched the last movie
In some close scenes I saw some fog or sth like that just puff, sprayed aqually with peter pushed the hand button I BET This is Co2 :D so if co2 continuously sprayed till web stuck there will be lots of cloud of co2 I think That corrects theory If I am right http://blogs.coventrytelegraph.net/thegeekfiles/Amazing Spider-Man new still shooting web.jpg
Sorry for my bad English.

I cannot see your picture infinitecrator0. And great theories, lactic.

posts have really slowed down on this forum, but im curios what would happen if I took apart my paintball gun and used the pressurizer from it and built a cannister that can run up both arms and into a backpack. I will post pics later.

Sounds like a plan oddo. And has anyone thought of using mio bottles as pressure vessels and reinforce it with duct tape?

I need help with the scientific stuff as my dad is an auto electrition one of my brothers is a joiner and the other is a engineer so all I need help with is the fluid can someone help plz ?????
