I have to look at that image again. But I'm liking all 3 theory but Webb said specifically that he incorporated mechanicals. Theory 3 is what they're going with according to the director but i have no idea how these shooters will work. Hopefully we get a explanation or another image to explain these shooters more clearfully.no problem. And I hope I'm wrong about some of your ideas. Tesla was told that oscillation of electricity was impossible and yet he invented it! as for the 2012 shooters, I figure only three things are possible (if you look closely at the picture of the shooters when he's wearing the jacket, you'll notice that there are metal bit hidden by a cloth. It could be a cartridge or a battery. In the trailer, you'll notice he pulls a web from his neck..., odd).
1.)The web shooter is a web manipulator. Even if he had webs coming out his wrist, it would only be in one strand and he couldn't fire it. Maybe this one uses a piston to fire the webs. from the wrist
2.)He compresses web fluid from his body into cartridges that are covered by some form of fabric.
3.) It's like every other spiderman from the comics with a web shooter.
I'm not 100% sure until I see more action involving it, but those are my three primary guesses.
To spidey44: That's interesting to say the least. I'm curious to see how the result transfers to the project, as those valves can hold quite a bit of pressure. My question for you is, "is this valve for the shooter, or a containment vessel for fluid?" I suppose it could be both. This valve idea seems similar to a solenoid with a more mechanical aspect. Also, did you get the valve from a tire or from something else? Keep up the good work!
To Spectacular23: to say he "incorporated mechanicals" doesn't neccessarily mean that they are all mechanical. Still, I hope for the third theory to be true. It would make our job here harder, but it would be cool nonetheless. Look at this picture very closely:

There are little metal rectangular bits next to/ under the watch face. It's hidden by a nylon cover.

perhaps. I wonder if that piece in the back of the shooter is a cartridge, then what about the metal bits beside it? This is quite the conundrum (While I pride myself on being a tad bit more literate on some of my posts than others, I would have to say shamefully that I have no idea if that is spelled correctly.) One thing that I would like to point out is that the web is only two strands, and I would also like to praise how small a quantity he used of webbing. Surely, he couldn't conjure a thick rope out of such small mass would he?
