Days of Future Past Well done Bryan Singer!

Noone here is making up anything there are rumors of a few FC scenes actualy directed
by Singer.

There are rumors the Xavier/Magneto/Moira triangle became xavier/Mystique/Magneto triangle before vaughn came on project.

The final work on FC was actully done by Kinberg.

There are photos of SInger on FC set. It's very very unusual for someone who backs out of directing to be a hands on producer like Singer was on FC.

Nobody Is saying vaughn didn't do anything on FC.Mystique/Beast was clealry all Vaughn
and so was the bond influence. But,since i didn't like mystique/Beast I blame that on Vaughn.

"There are rumors." Exactly. Fan speculation and gossip.

We know that the Blu-ray shows Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman taking credit for changing the focus from Magneto-Moira-Xavier to just Magneto-Xavier. If that was done before they came onboard, Donner, Kinberg, and Singer likely wouldn't have allowed them to take credit for it on the only official in-depth documentation on the film's creation.

We also know that Vaughn was the driving force on the Bondmania aesthetic of the film. From the Ken Adams inspired set design to the costumes that Fassbender wears until the third act.

So, yes, speculating that a scene of Magneto modeled after Bond in Dr. No is directed by Bryan Singer simply because you prefer Bryan Singer borders on strange.

And I did like Mystique in the movie, and since it became such an important factor on DOFP, it makes me like it more. :)

Beast on the other hand, I agree with.

The first person Beast transformation scene is still dope and displays Vaughn's visual wit.

Well done to Bryan Singer - he tied up the franchise very well indeed, making it a cohesive whole.

Look who's back on twitter? Thanks again Mr. Singer! :)

Disagree. Good movie, but if it weren't for Fassbender's portrayal of Magneto, the movie would've been incredibly mediocre.
No. James McAvoy's Charles is anything but mediocre. Loved his portrayal in First Class and the transition he made in XMDOFP.

Yeah thanks I guess. I hope he directs Apocalypse but after that, I'd like someone else to tackle the X-Men franchise. Whilst I like X-1 and X-2 and loved DOFP, Singer still simply hasn't embraced who the X-Men really are. His films in terms of being 'X-Men' films have left a lot to be desired imo.

One of core things of X-Men Is them being sworn to protect a world that hates and
Fears them.I find those saying X-Men should drop the discrimination angle funny if that
Is what you mean by embracing the core elements.

The anti-discrimination thing is important, but I think this is Singer's best job at not beating us over the head with the "Have you tried not being a Mutant"/"You didn't ask,so I didn't tell" metaphors and just letting the story speak for itself.

I think it's also to do with developing some of the key X-Men characters such as Cyclops, Storm.

Whether Cudmore is up to giving us a more developed Colossus, I don't know.

And also developing Rogue and her abilities too.

X-Men: Apocalypse should move us on from the mutant vs human angle anyway, as Apocalypse is just about survival of the fittest, whatever the species. He would wipe out the humans and also some of the mutants too. It will be good to see normal humans being the victims in a major way.

Apocalypse defently too won't be a light heated film. The nature of story Is a darker one.

I won't be shocked If Cyclos,Jean, and storm are already at school when 1980's part of story begins.Devolpment of those 3 are more likely to be I suspect them showing their worth in battle against Apocalypse and possibly begining of Cyclops and Jean romance.

Xvaier,Magneto,Mystique, and beast will all play important roles.Wolverine will be back as well. And who knows how large a role gambit will be.

Inless there Is cameo by Colossus In future that character won't be In Apocalypse.

Singer and Kinberg deserve a huge amount of credit for DOFP. It was a real shame that Singer missed out on all the promotion for the movie, as he was clearly very passionate about it. On a side note I do hope that Singer is vindicated soon with this court case, that seems to have been falling apart from day 1.

People trying to belittle Matthew Vaughn....Internet, why you do this?

I think he needs to stay in the series as long as he wants to and as long as his movies doesn't begin to suck. I know there's still a lot of improvements that can be made, like making the film more ensemble. But right now, why risk finding another director when Bryan Singer is in top of his game right now.

And that's why I said he should return for Apocalypse. I want to see someone's else's take on the X-Men for a change.I really hope they deliever with Apocalypse because at this point I'm tired of 'mutants are the future, no Eric we can co-exist' and having the films always end with Magneto being the villain giving a speech.:oldrazz:

According to new EW Bryan Is on deck to direct Apocalypse but isn't officially signed yet as script Is being written

They should keep Singer on as the head of the X-films,even if he doesn't direct them.Pass stuff across his desk before just signing off on ****.That way we don't get stuff like "How did Logan get his Adamantium back after The Wolverine?"

those were'nt really beating you over the head with it

vaughn's i am mutant and proud is beating you over the head

I got that In new issue since I subscribe to EW and got the new issue yesterday.

Regarding Bryan Singer's directing style, I feel like he was truly the only man for the job.

He's a big fan of close-ups, enjoys shooting above the waist, if not above the shoulders and only shows as much as he needs to. Moreover, the way that he utilizes perspective to create a claustrophobic feeling added to the tension of what's a very high stakes yet character driven film.

And that's why DOFP worked.

I am fully on board with getting a new director for X-Men sequels AFTER Apocalypse, and only after Apocalypse. The First Class trilogy was started by Singer and Vaughn and it should end with either of them directing. After Apocalypse lets get some new blood in and allow Vaughn and Singer to produce/oversee.

at this point i dont trust x men without singer not having his fingers on it from story, script,or directing
