WETA doing Silver Surfer as a CGI character!

Wonder if they'll give a nod to T2 in this film when he's first shows up on earth. That would be hilarious.

This is true, we need Vancouverians to be on the look out with cameras at the ready. But you never know, there maybe a Canadian out there that will be in Vancouver with a camera...I wonder if my cousin has time to go hunt down the sets. She's a student at UBC.

Ach, one must be tolerant of the young :D! No harm done at all. I've been mizhelenuk on the IMDb for 5 years now, and the only reason, by quirk of fate, that I became Hellmistress is because the official Hellboy forum wouldn't accept mizhelenuk when I first tried to join three years ago. I had to think of a moniker, and Hellmistress I became. Someone shortened it to HM and I've been Hellmistress on every forum since. I've kinda got used to it. :word:

Oh, BTW, Doug Jones was the one who originally pointed me in the direction of the forums here, just as the rumours of his involvement as SS broke just before San Diego Comic Con back in July. He has been known to join the odd messageboard! He wanted to know the fans' reaction to the news and was very touched by the positive response everywhere, but he was especially taken by the folks here on the boards on Superherohype. It made his day.

Cool! We'd love to hear from him.

He should probably be careful close to opening or when big news breaks . . . that's when the fans of other projects show up to trash the FF and tell us how much better their character/film is.

Well, Doug should be in Budapest filming HELLBOY II when F4:RotSS is premiered, so he's going to be pretty busy over the next 18 months or so - and he has to fit KNOCK KNOCK in there too! He's busy at the moment anyway doing some little comic book film or something, but I'm sure he'll at least manage to check out the boards when he can.

We had folks turning up on the Hellsite when HELLBOY was due to open, trashing the movie. Honestly, haven't they got anything better to do??? Tsk.

Isn't it fun when those idiots show up on a fan board and are told to shut up or they find their account deleated and then they get all huffy? Agreed.
It sure would be cool if we didn't have to see a repeat of all the fanboy bullcrap we saw here last year. Should we expect mostly Spider-trolls this time? Surely there's some loyalty among Marvel fans... I guess it'll be mostly Tranformer fans coming here to bash...or Harry Potter fanatics.
All I know is there's enough juvenile posting going on here already, and we're nowhere close to next June.

Trolls are going to show up on boards like this no matter what anyone says. I was spacifically talking about the Hellboards that Sony put up when Hellboy was about to come out. Trolls don't last long there, but that's only if they can even find the place. It doesn't get a lot of traffic going by.

This isn't the Hellboy forum. From what I saw, and heard about last year, many trolls came because some fed them here. Yes trolls are going to come anyway, but why throw food to them.

You know, as annoying as the trolls on the IMDb boards are, they at least have this lovely little button that says 'Ignore This User.' Yes, I know, don't feed the trolls, but that doesn't stop them from coming in.

And I hardly see how me playing with the little 'smilies' or whatever people want to call them is going to attract trolls.

Can someone list the awards and movies that WETA has won. I'd like to take a look at some of their work.

I know that what we have with SS is supposed to be new and all, but I'd like to take a look at some of their work. I've probably seen alot of their work already. I know King Kong, that was awesome, also Lord of The Rings I believe, but any others?

I've gotten excited about WETA just from reading some of you comic fans posts. I'm glad to see that this crew is getting some good vibes from the fans. Good to see. As much as I want the 4 to be the main focus of this movie as it should be, I want the SS to look good, and that means the best CGI team which sounds like we have. Keep the focus where it should be, but I'm all for some good CGI eye candy.

I'm well aware of WETA's achievements and yes, they're the best in the industry, but let us not forget that Spectral Motion is also involved and they specialize in incredible costumes. I don't see why SS can't be the best of both worlds with Doug in a silver suit that gets some major tweeking in post.

Uhhh???

I wasn't giving WETA's achievments, I was asking for someone to list them.

I'm not necessarily happy with Spectral from the first movie. But I'm not gonna debate that, it was ok, just could have been some better work. I'm just happy with the fans excitement over WETA. Thats cool to see.
