OK...yes, he's a carbon copy of Sandman except for the fact that he is made of water, not sand; but everybody seems to want Carnage for 4, and he's a carbon copy of Venom.

So why not Hydro-Man? I loved his portrayal in the 90's cartoon as MJ's old obsessed boyfriend. Bench is an incredibly sadistic, obsessive person and I think coupled with the Lizard it could make for a story of obsession--another lesson for Peter yet again to learn. Connors is obsessed with his regeneration while Bench is obsessed with MJ. In the meantime, you could have a wicked sewer battle with Hydro-Man using the sewer water as his source of power, and it's the Lizard's natural prowling grounds anyway.

And obviously, as with Spidey 3, Bench (like Brock) would be eliminated in light of his inability to realize his obsession (or in Brock's case revenge) and let it go, while Connors--as a tragic villian--is saved and reverted back. It could also give us a chance to finally see that SMART, scientific Parker the first three films only ever gave us brief glimpses of.

Then again, now that I think about it, maybe Hydro-Man would have been better for Spidey 3.

And realistically, even though he probably won't be used--although wow, how visually awesome would he be to watch?--you can still pick actors you think could portray him.

That dimestore Sandman?

HELL TO THE NO!!!

I want Hydro-man but he won't be nearest 20 years because of sandman!

Sorry...

Bye guys, i have a meet with Sam Raimi, where we will discuss new villains... i'll try to give him the idea of Sinister Six....

Bye!

Save Hydro for the frightful four in the Fantastic Four fims in place of Sandman.

Even if he wasn't a Sandman knock-off, Hydro-Man is a second-rate crap character who does not need to be in the movies, especially when there are probably already too many good villains to reasonably fit into the series that take priority over him.

I'll tell you why. Because we only got 10 minutes of Venom who is great and we saw WAY too much of Snandman, who was basically a pointless villain.

Hydroman would work either in a Sinister Six movie (if they were looking for new unused villains) or in a videogame.

Not everybody wants Carnage, I don't.

That would be great.

I seriously want to see Hydro-Man on film though... he could really have an amazing fight.

Just imagine the potentials of him having a fight at the Statue of Liberty!!!

:wow:

i think hydroman would be cool to see on film, though i don't think he would be too much of a challenge, if he does appear, there would probably be other villians in the film.

Hydro-Man is too similar to Sandman, plus I don't think his story is movie material neither was Sandman's. So if they do decide to put him in, I guess they would have to work as hard as they did with Sandman to make his story interesting.

:wow:

How the **** is Spidey supposed to beat that? A zeppelin full of kitty litter?

Hydroman should be in a Spidey sequal but not until Spidey5 or Spidey6. He's a great challenge for Spidey so I would love to see him.

I really don't give a rip about Hydro-Man. Yeah, he would be able to do a lot of things visually... but that's not what gets me excited about these movies.

Okay, I took all the villains that have any business even being considered for a Spider-Man movie (at least in this series)

High Priority Villains:
Electro
Lizard
Scorpion

High-Moderate Priority Villains:
Carnage
Kraven
Mysterio
Vulture

Low-Moderate Priority Villains:
Chameleon
Hobgoblin
Kingpin
Rhino

Low Priority Villains:
Shocker
Hydro-Man
Manwolf
Morbius

As you can see, there's lots of baddies who we could afford to see first, and probably not enough movies to reasonably fit Hydro-Man in there.

Personally I would switch the places of Rhino with Hydro-Man. Hell, Shocker would be a great villain to see also. Yeah, Rhino is visually interesting, but personally he's the only villain that I never saw adding anything of real big importance other than just being a muscle man for some villain.

The rest can stand on their own two feet.

How the **** is Spidey supposed to beat that?

In case there is a way to film that say um 15 years down the line for a certain possible small screen live action series type deal- or at least a small version of that idea... I'm not going to say, you'll just have to stay tuned. :cwink:

Oh, so you want to see the Made-in-Taiwan version of Sandman...I see.

I really like that. In fact, I think I like that better than the idea of a Lizard/Kraven story. Only problem is we've been with MJ since high school and aside from a brief thing with JJJ's son, she's only been with Pete.
Also, I'm afraid that with Sandman so recent, we won't see Hydroman for a few movies, if we see him at all.

that would work well i think.:yay:

too lame and B-listy imo. I'm not fond of many post-Stan Lee villains...maybe 5 of them.
