I think that is what killed sp3 and x3 when the directors try to make a good film and please the fans and the execs it screws the film up.

TDK deviated from the comics in several ways, hell the next generation of comics will deviate from the comics. Its gunna happen.

But if you make a change go through with it with passion and direction. Directors can't afford to be wishy washy.

I mean the mutant cure that everyone was worried about? turns out it doesn't work. The Sandman who was killing people? Its alright if you have a sick daughter. And Venom really just a through away character. meh.

Raimi, like Singer, Faverau, and Nolan, is a competent director when doesn't have everyone in his ear.

Well, it's already a Spider-Man bashing thread, and the door was opened by raising the comparison in the first place. The point is that Ironman isn't a perfect film and no more successful or worthy of praise than the Spider-Man films.

i would like the same tone and style of the first three films to remain. i like spider-man 3, but after that i would just like the story simplified. one villain. bring it all back to maybe one or two plot lines and focus on them. perhaps something more resembling the first film.

Which is why this thread should be closed. All it is is another way for Dac to bash Spider-Man. However, it doesn't mean we should bash IM either.

I agree that SM4 should look back to SM1 and SM2...not IM. I was the first to mention that in here

SM2 was better than SM1 but SM1 was still a good film. I loved SM2 but it was a bit too long and lagged in the middle. There were like 30 minutes where nothing happened in the middle.
