Every night, the Hype shuts down for about 10 minutes between 1:25 and 1:35 AM Mountain Time (GMT-7)... what do YOU do when you are suddenly released from the bondage of this site?

Do you come back? Do you wait impatiently? Does it take forever before you can finally feed your addiction?

I cry, tear my hair out and sacrifice a virgin to appease the Hype Gods. I am running out of virgins :(

Strange, for a message board dedicated to superheroes and comic books...

But see, during that ten minutes, I cannot reach the ready supply of virgins. It is a conundrum

that's about 6.25 in the uk, IN my four years, i've never experienced this shutting down time on the hype.

No, I'm in GMT-7, so it happens about 8:25 GMT... but even so.

I've only noticed it since they switched to the new server, but I guess all the benefits kind of outweigh the 10-minute blackout.

It's when the board makes its back ups. It used to do it on the old server, but as that one got worse and worse, the back ups got lost in the rest of the lag

It's actually kind of nice. Usually when I get home from work, I can only spend about an hour on here before I see that infernal "Waiting for forums.superherohype.com..." message. That's generally my exit cue nowadays :)

Then, what the **** are you still doing here? Get out.

I start to feel free again.

"I feel... cold..."
