Does anyone actually think The Wolverine will do well, Im nervous for it. IMO I frankly dont even want to see it and I love X-Men.

No clue. I can easily see it going the way of First Class or something similar--less promotion, better reviews, but lowest grossing.
what??

No X-Men mention on the announcement?

What a way to build anticipation for the panel

Yeah, it would be nice to see Days of Future Past get a mention when various outlets do their write-ups about Comic-Con's schedule. I hope they confirm something soon.

Glad the panel is confirmed. I'll be there. Can't wait.

Most likely The Wolverine, Apes, and DoFP.

Fox may as well fold The Wolverine's promotion into Days of Future Past. 6 days before release is too little too late for anything else substantial.
That could be the case. I would think they would want to push the X-Men film presence there as much as possible. If Jackman shows up that's a big win panel wise. Might as well do a Q and A on the film, show a clip etc. Its still one of their more anticipated films this year.

Yes.

I like to think that Fox wants to make an official announcement by their own in next days, so thats the reason why Comic Con doesnt add any info.

I really really hope so. I wouldnt like this first marketing move to start being cheap.

Good reviews is a good thing I suppose the only thing I want to see in the movie is Viper eventhough and to possibly what Jean will be doing in detail in the movie. I want to like Wolverine, i really do.

Are we really complaining that they didn't list their movies to build anticipation for a panel thats main purpose is to build anticipation?

That's like getting upset that a film didn't release a teaser for an upcoming trailer.

Sure. Is it a big deal, a long as Days of Future Past is presented? Absolutely not. Is it annoying that Fox is the only studio to not confirm its lineup? Yes.

I don't see it that way I guess. Wouldn't be the first time a studio is a bit secretive with their panel. Marvel has done it in the past.

thats the point.

JP seems to cant understand certain points lately. Where's the empathy, boy?

That's fair. I suppose I just question how well the secrecy strategy works sometimes.

Fox Is going to announce it's panel when they are good and ready.

While I won't be there I hope fox shows some footage, releases an official snypos of film and has a panel with Bryan Singer and some cast members.

Peter, Shawn and Anna are going to attend Comic con, GOT and The Following panel is the Friday and TB the Saturday. This can be a clue about the actors attending DOFP panel.

Then you have Jennifer for The Hunger Games.

They really dropped the ball on the Wolverine promotions.

yeah.

I think the four FC leads will be there, and in the best scenario in my head, Hugh, Ellen, Shawn and Anna would attend too, along with Peter as the main new character and villain.

But who knows what Fox has in store.

Id like to see Omar on there too, to bring at least one new mutant from the apocalyptic future, and being a fan favourite character. But not sure if Fox is interested about it.

They like to promote their movies by not letting anyone know they're coming out...

Hence $146 Mil Domestic take for FC. Oh Fox...

I've been seeing TV spots for The Wolverine all week, but none during the 4-day marathon of The Walking Dead. You'd think that would be a good place for a few ads.

I can see why FOX isn't announcing yet if the X-Men will show up in comic-con. They probably want to build mystery and suspense.

Hopefully they'll have something for DOFP, Wolverine and Fantastic Four!

They don't have to announce who's there or spell everything out, but there is no reason not to announce your most hyped films. That's what gets people excited about going. Surprise them at the panel, not on if the panel is gonna be there or not. They need to start the hype!

The hype will start once they show up in Comic-Con.

And if the people/press are surprised by DOFP's unannounced panel, who will get the most attention from the press/Comic-Con attendees? of course it will be DOFP.

It's expected for DOFP to have a panel. It's why people are complaining about them not announcing. Theres no surprise involved, those come at the actual panel. They don't need to resort to a cheap ruse or misdirection. This comes across as not being prepared imo.

I have an example for this scenario, the Spice Girls were expected to perform at the Olympics 2012 closing ceremony but they weren't listed in the program's list/brochure that was handed to everybody that attended the closing ceremony and obviously the fans of the Spice Girls were complaining about it online, but when the group finally showed up at the Olympics to perform, they got the most attention and not including them in the program's list didn't hurt at all.

So I can see why FOX isn't saying which films will they present at the panel even though people are already expecting DOFP to show up in Comic-Con. After this panel, no one is gonna care if FOX didn't announce the arrival of DOFP's cast in Comic-Con.

Fox probally wants to make their own announcements on whihc films are being presented at comic con.
