Like what if only Iron Man shows up and the rest of Phase 4 are solo films for Daredevil, Black Panther, Black Widow and Luke Cage? Then the finale is Marvel Knights?

I'll probably be dead and gone by the time Phase 4 rolls around. And the Zombie Apocalypse will be in full swing by then, so it's a moot point anyway.

As to the street level/Marvel Knights characters in MS' harem: I seriously doubt they're going to wait a decade or three to start rolling them out. And I seriously doubt they're going to mix them into their Avenger-centric big budget mainline movies. Instead, I think we'll see Marvel Studios spin off a smaller studio to handle small-budget street level heroes, and/or introduce them on TV, within the next couple of years.

I'm not sure it would be a good idea, but I really want to see a Marvel Knights film.

How would you feel if Marvel stopped making comics with all your favorite heroes so that they could introduce more new ones at once?

I would celebrate, for days.

I love those above characters.

I'd appreciate that they are trying to offer up new, fresh ideas, and avoiding the inevitable over-saturation of the more popular heroes.

Hi, Wolverine.

I think it might be smart to give the main Avengers a break during phase 4 and focus on Marvel Knights or perhaps introduce the Defenders.

Personally, I would have no problem if the Avengers disbanded, and Marvel pursued one or some of the following routes:

-Cap becoming Nomad
-Dark Avengers
-Defenders

Personally,I would like for Phase 4 to explore some of the lesser titles in the series. I would like a street-level film feat. Cage and Fist, a film set in the Dark/Magic Marvel series---I would pay like a fiend if they made a good Man Thing film, for instance---a Daredevil film, a Punisher film, and so on. As much as I love the blockbusters they have been delivering - and I have been an immense defender of the MCU-I would like smaller scaled films. Not every film has to have a 30 minute battle finale; sometimes the best finales are the simplest ones, since they pull the heart-strings well. I refer to the end of the Sherlock episode 'A Study in Pink,' where the suspense is whether Holmes was going to take the pill, a prop and its container which are probably less than $10. Yet, it gripped me and many others viewers, and attests that the secret to good finales is not the visual scale, but the emotive scale.

Just imagine, for instance, if they made a Punisher film like the Departed: a gritty, crime-noir film soaked in a region's color and where suspense holds sway, instead of the explosions. It would be awesome.

I don't think the Avengers are going anywhere. They pretty much spilled the plan already. They'll re-cast.Chances are there will be rotating rosters too.So it's not like Cap/Thor/IM will be in every Avengers film.

A phase at most is 4 years. I think giving the main Avengers four years rest won't be a huge deal. Until recently the X-men films were three years apart and James Bond has had a long break. I doubt it'll affect the brand all that much.

It might, remember they would be releasing 1 to 2 films per year in those 4 years. How much money they would get from these street-level heroes, they would be like starting from scratch if they wouldn't be using the characters that we have seen in the first three phases.

They could use Phase 4 to experiment a bit with solo films for characters already introduced in the first three phases.

Or maybe not.

Phase 4 will end with a "clip show" film, featuring the best segments from past movies while the central characters watch these segments and make funny remarks about them.

Hi, Wolverine.

I didn't ask about popular ones, I asked about your favorites. Take it a step further, what if Marvel Comics cancelled all their comics (or put them on a four year hiatus) and re did their whole line with a bunch of comics you've never heard of? You'd appreciate them 'mixing it up' even if all your favorite characters were shelved to do it?

Yes, fake Jesus!!! Zod yes!! :word:

While it is called the Marvel Cinematic Universe it should be called the Avengers Cinematic Universe as so far the only non-Avenger related i.e Marvel one is GOTG

Kelly passed away back in June.

And if they want to have Misty Knight in MCU, these women would be the top three (also top three for Monica Rambeau if she was ever in MCU):

Rosario Dawson:

Kerry Washington:

Paula Patton:

Plus other names such as Meagan Good, Gabrielle Union, Taraji P Henson, Lauren London, Naomie Harris, Nicole Beharie, Kiki Palmer, Gina Torres, Tika Sumpter, Sanaa Lathan and Jennifer Hudson. All would be ahead of Bianca Lawson for Misty Knight and Monica Rambeau.

Of course, it all depends on if there are any plans for Misty Knight and Monica Rambeau in the MCU, which isn't certain. I think the only Black women we'll see in MCU are going to be Monica Lynne and probably T'Challa's step mom Ramonda in the Black Panther movie. However, if Marvel wants Patton, Washington or Dawson (or even all three) for MCU, they'll find a way to do that.

Wow, I really need to fix that post now. I didn't hear anything about him dying until now. That's terrible.

Also, they aren't going to bring Monica in before Carol. There's no way that's possible. That said, I can see Monica be the villain in a Ms. Marvel sequel where Carol realizes that somebody else filed a copyright for her name. They settle it with a fistfight. Sadly, Paula Patton and Rosario Dawson are too old to begin work on a mega-franchise so I doubt either one of them will be Misty.

The thing with Bianca Lawson is though that I don't think she would be on Marvel's list for Misty Knight. She would not be a bad choice though.

To say that Dawson (34) and Patton (37) are too old to work on a mega franchise is a bit of a double standard. If one of them played Misty, they would be younger than when RDJ played Tony Stark for the first time (he as 42 when the film began shooting and 43 when the film was released). Hell, SLJ was 60 when he started playing Nick Fury. Mark Ruffalo is 45. Renner was 39 when he first played Hawkeye. Lawson is older than Dawson by two months.

I don't think we'll ever see Monica Rambeau at all in MCU. As I have said, the only prominent black women will probably come from Black Panther (Ramonda, Monica Lynne and maybe Shuri).

Really? I thought most fans would be up in arms... though, perhaps its just because we've been reading these comics for so long, we wouldn't mind a break to refresh. Perhaps if we'd been reading for only a short time...

My original point was that people are fans of the Avengers characters, those are the Marvel Universe to them, and they can't wait to see more. To shelve those characters for some new ones isn't very nice, imho, and it'd be like sort of like ending your comics a little bit after you got into them and started to love them.
