I don't think you can make yourself love someone either. If you can, I imagine it's very high maintenance.

There are many definitions of love. Tragedy is possibly one of them. The thing with them is, they haven't even known each other long enough to know if what they really feel is love or just infatuation. Call me cynical but I don't believe in 'love' at first sight.
Could be. Or they could get to know one another better and realized they didn't love each other after all and (if they were married) ended up divorced.
