What is love?

It's strange, you can make yourself love someone, but you can't always control the people who you love...
I don't think you can make yourself love someone either. If you can, I imagine it's very high maintenance.

Haddaway knows all. Ask him.

What is Love? A pro golfer.

Love can also be Arsenio Sebastião Cowabunga, a soccer player.

Love is love.

Do you believe in true love or do you think love is just a mutual infatuation? Is it a chemical reaction out of your control or something else entirely?

Share your thoughts
i used to think it exists and i hope it does i'm just not so optimistic about it anymore:csad:

The fact that you can make yourself love someone, but can't hold love back from someone. It's like you can control it, but then you can't.
How do you make yourself love someone? Do you make yourself love that person, or is it someone about that person that makes you love them?

love is the most dangerous feeling on earth..
I'd appreciate it if you can elaborate so I can have more insight into your 'philosophy'. Kindness derives from Love, does it not? Or you don't think so? I've always thought that it's Hatred and Ignorance that are considered to be Dangerous.

I think Love exists. Possibly.

But then again, sometimes I think it's just a figment of my imagination.

Love is dangerous. Romeo and Juliet is a good example..

Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without any insistence that they satisfy you.

They were the definition of Love.
There are many definitions of love. Tragedy is possibly one of them. The thing with them is, they haven't even known each other long enough to know if what they really feel is love or just infatuation. Call me cynical but I don't believe in 'love' at first sight.

Well, if the messenger doesn't **** it up, then they might be living happily ever after.
Could be. Or they could get to know one another better and realized they didn't love each other after all and (if they were married) ended up divorced.

Damn straight.
It's not one of my favorite plays so I can't recall every detail but how did their initial attraction led to love? How many times did they actually get to spend time with each other?

Don't lie, Bella. You know you wanted Romeo all for yourself and are just hatin' on Juliet for stealin' your dream man. :whatever:

Love is too many things to be able to define resolutely.

How many times do I have to tell you that Batman/Christian Bale is the ONLY man for me?

If poking my eyes out covers up the shame and embarassment of me exposing your hidden desires for a 16th century fictional character, then so be it. Let the pain just ooze out of your dirty little Seattlite pores.
