What is love?

Romeo and Juliet did not even have time to get to know each other let alone truly love one other before they killed themselves.

Finally! Somebody sees my point! And this is one of the reasons I love you, fangrl.
I think with those two, it's more of an infatuation and the danger of being together that draws them. As I asked before, how much time did they actually spend together to really get to know one another to fall in love?

I actually laughed out loud when I read an article about scientists offering electro-shock therapy for homosexuals!

I don't think Shakespeare was as superficial as his characters were. If you look at a lot of his other plays the love was a lot deeper then that. I think he might have used Romeo and Juliet to make the audince question the difference between true love and superficial love. Otherwise, why would Romeo have been in love with Rosaline(was it Rosaline?) at the beginning?

So true, I would never try to change someone I truly loved...unless they were hurting themselves. Why do you think we (as humans) tend to be attracted to people who are unattainable or harmful?
