To me the Spidey trilogy has the best rescues out of all the franchises due to great effects and suspense. I'd say when he stops the train in Spider-Man 2 because to me it's the most heroic act in all the comic book films. He dies if he doesn't stop that train, but he only thinks of the people on it.

Coolest individual save goes to Spidey saving Gwen, because the jaw was literally dropped when he was avoiding that debris.

I chose 4 of my favorites:

- Spidey catching MJ and the kids at the bridge in Spidey 1
- Spidey catching Aunt May in Spidey 2
- Spidey saving MJ from falling wall in Spidey 2
- Spidey avoiding debris and catching Gwen Stacy in Spidey 3

And while I'm looking at the list, I can't believe I didn't vote for the rescue/train scene. I feel stupid, now!

Blah, let's just say that I love all of them. Yay.

Saving MJ and the kids at the bridge. That's just...wow

Its hard to choose, but I say saving the girl in SM2. He had no powers yet demonstrated he was still a hero. There was also alot of power behind the part when he realized there was another person in that building and if he had his powers back could have saved him.

1. Spidey catching MJ and the kids at the bridge in Spidey 1
2. Spidey and Harry saving falling MJ in Spidey 3
3. Spidey avoiding debris and catching Gwen Stacy in Spidey 3
4. Spidey saving MJ from falling wall in Spidey 2
5. Spidey catching Aunt May in Spidey 2
6. Spidey saving the train passengers in Spidey 2
7. Spidey saving Mj from thugs in rain in Spidey 1
8. Spidey throwing guards out of truck and into web before truck crashes in Spidey 3
9. Spidey saves Kid from being Crushed in Spidey 1
10. Spidey saving baby from burning building in Spidey 1
11. Peter saving little girl in burning building in Spidey 2
12. Spidey saving kids from getting run over in Spidey 2

I like when Spidey catches the kids and MJ above all, with the saving MJ from the falling wall (SM2) and saving Gwen Stacy tied at second.

OH! Spider-Man and Harry saving MJ was fun to watch too, mainly because of what was going on around them.

This is a really awesome thread!
I voted for the MJ and the Kids on from Spider-Man 1.
That scene was awesome. GG's line was the best "Let die the woman you love, or suffer the little children!"
Green Goblin was the best villian in all the three films.

I'm tired of seeing Spidey rescue Mary Jane the hostage every movie !!

Get use to it bub, MJ is and always will be Spidey's girl in the movies. Also this is nothing new, Spidey is always saving his wife in the comics .

How about this?

If the director, producers, and everyone else that was involved in making Spider-Man 3 came back to do some serious changes to this last spidey movie, that would be the ultimate rescue in the Spidey trilogy...

I'd like to see spidey save Jameson's ass for a change....and I'm talking about in a big way not saving him from gobby's fist ripping a hole into his kisser.

spidey rescuing tram AND MJ in one move.

saving falling train passengers comes very close second

train stopping scene is ott...

and rescuing the girl without powers or gear is just plain stupid.

the rest are a bit sub par...

funny, none of these scenes are really as powerful as the hulk saving a fighter jet pilot from hitting a bridge or the hulk saving banner from falling to his death.

interesting..

jameson will never be taken seriously in a spidey film and for that reason, he'll never the object of spidey's attention when it comes to saving him.

Here's my favorites.

1. Spidey saving MJ and kids at bridge.
2. Spidey and Harry saving MJ.
3. Spidey saving gwen while dodging falling debris.
4. Spidey catching Aunt May in Spidey2.
5. Spidey saving MJ from falling wall in Spidey2.
6. Rescue Train scene.
7. Saving MJ from Thugs in Spidey1.
8. Saving baby from burning building in Spidey1.
9. Saving little girl from burning building in Spidey2.
10. Spidey saving two gaurds from armored truck.
11. Saving kid from being crushed in Spidey1.
12. Spidey saving kids from being run over.

The best rescue in the trilogy IMO is him saving Gwen. The silence of it, with the heart beating in the background as she's falling and when he catches her the big heroic theme starts.

Perfect.

interesting..

Dear God..

And BTW- he wasn't saving the fighter pilot. He was saving the civilians driving across the bridge. Just one off the many poor judgement calls with that movie.

At first I thought the subject of this thread was pure saves, not battles that included saves.

I guess it's a three-way tie between the MJ-Tram car/ Train passengers/Gwen

if you watch the clip, the hulk is above some clouds. When he sees the fighter pilot going towards the bridge, he can't even see whether there are people onthe bridge or not and has glance back to secure their safety.

he was saving the pilot.

but that is for another thread in another board.

I don't know why, but this thread is making me miss the Norman Osborn Green Goblin alot. :(

Spidey avoiding debris and catching Gwen Stacy in Spidey 3.

The tag team rescue of MJ in SM3. As annoying as it was to see MJ as the damsel in distress again, it was a very suspensful rescue.

MJ must have a bright neon "Hostage Bait" sign over her head or something. Why couldn't the villains have kidnapped Aunt May? I mean yes, MJ is important to Peter, but Aunt May is Peter's emotional rock. It would have hurt him more to have seen her in peril.
