I asked this one girl out years ago and she simply said "nah" with a look of 'are you ****ing kidding me'. My friends were giving me hell for quite awhile and I did feel like total ****. That was a big slap in the face.

As a sophomore i asked out one chick who blatantly said "no, I'm not interested", then later that day I see some of her friends walking around looking at me and then laughing. The ****? Putting the business out there like that is just what girls do, I supposed.

I think what's even more worse than getting turned down is them having someone else do it for them.

But then it's how you react after getting rejected, you can either take it and move on or do like I would do; look at them and say "well **** you then!"

Once (ages ago ) when I was back in junior high, some of my friends tried to insist that I wasn't as hideous as I thought I was and actually talked me into asking out one of *the* coolest guys in school. He actually gave my his phone number, which I couldn't believe. Apparently he couldn't believe it either because when I tired to call him later that evening, he acted like he couldn't hear me on the phone! The phone rang and was picked up by his sister, and when I asked to speak to him, she said hang on. There was this pause then I heard him say 'hello?' I was like hi, this is, and told him it was me. He was like 'hello, hello? There's no one on this line! I can not hear anyone!' So I tried again, and he said 'all I hear is dead air, I'm hanging up!' Which he did. Ye-ah...your sister could hear me calling for you, but the line goes 'mysteriously dead' when you get on....huh.

Another story I'm reminded of, though I wasn't turned down in the conventional sense, a real good friend of mine and I were walking through the hall at school (this being high school). We were laughing and carrying on like we always did (we were friends outside of school up to that point to) when another class mate walks by and waves the guy I was with over. The class mate leans in and whispers something to the guy that I can't hear, but my "friend" turns back to me all horrified and squeals out "her?!?! No WAY!! Hell frickin-no!!! Nonononono......" Yeah, thanks, get the point. Then he had no idea why I didn't want to hang with him anymore.

I kept getting the run-around by this one girl in high school. She came to the club that I was in and I friended her on facebook and we started talking there. Then one day I saw her outside alone and decided to approach her and we got along pretty well. Then a week later she started dating some dude, and I saw them making out like animals in the hallway one day. A couple of weeks later, they broke up and we were talking online about possibly doing something during christmas break. So on the last day before break, i met her outside her class and asked her out, out which she responded "I'm not really allowed to have a boyfriend"

She still gave me her number though and told me to call her, so I did a few times a couple of days later and i either got her voicemail or someone else answered. I tried writing to her online but she never replied. I tried to talk to her at school after we got back from break, but her free period changed and i never saw her. Finally on Valentine's day, my friends hooked me up to get out of class for the day to deliver candy-grams and stuff, and I finally saw her and went to talk to her to find out what happened, and then I suddenly got to the point where i ended up telling her "I don't even know why i like you anymore."

I've got one that will sound really bad about my appearance, when I'm not really that bad looking I guess.

In freshman year of high school I asked out this girl that was on the tennis team. I myself am not a sports player. Anyway, I asked her one day if she would like to go out that weekend. She walked away for a bit, came back and said yes. I was thrilled. I bragged to my friends all day. Next day was friday. Went and asked for her number, so we could talk and figure out what to do that weekend. She tells me "Well, I decided now is not a good timefor me. But we can be friends."

A "friend" of mine later, who was also on the tennis team, informed me she did it because she felt sorry for me never having dated anyone yet. Honestly, that hurt me worse than had she just said no. Never spoke to her again.
