What is the future of Ben Affleck as Batman in the DCEU?

The difference with Keaton and Kilmer was it was obvious those two films were not meant to be in canon with each other. It's a wholly different animal to a cinematic universe in which every film and character are supposed to co-exist. So recasting in this sense is a big deal, especially with such an important and upfront character as Batman. It would be the equivalent of RDJ quitting the MCU after a few Iron Man movies and the execs having to hire a new actor to play the role.

Or..Norton and Ruffalo? Or Howard and Cheadle?

Or Spider-Man getting a full reboot just two years (Civil War first appearance) later?

Batman can survive. It'd be great if the next guy can actually use his real voice.

If Christian Bale can be replaced so easily, Affleck easily can. Bale was loved by general audiences. His last 2 Batman films each grossed a Billion. Affleck has only appeared in poorly received DCEU films so far. I don't think general audiences are attached to his version at all. I'd wager Gadot was WW is leagues more popular.

Armitage has been the best choice I've seen around. I think it would be silly to go with a younger Bruce Wayne/Batman. We already got the young Batman story told perfectly with Christian Bale. It makes sense to continue the older Batman to tell the story of Batman and his sidekicks/family. That has not been done well before.

Ben was great as batman.Leto is worst live action Joker ever.the idea that he would be first actor to play joker multiple times in films is so crazy.

I agree. They haven't even shared a movie together. There is no great Batman/Joker rivalry the audiences or fans will miss if Letoker goes after Batfleck.

I'm not against Leto going but he did a better job in his role than Affleck could playing Batman. I say get a Great enough actor to replace Affleck. One who can elevate the role into something more and would be great on screen acting against Leto.

What's crazy is Affleck, Cavill, Leto and Eisenberg have all been nominated and won Razzies for their performances in DCEU films.

I don't think general audiences would care less if any of them are replaced. Gadot seems to be the only one who has won the public over.
