I said Hi to my store manager today and she grumbled a Hello at me. This is really nothing unusual. So what is your boss like?

Eh, I never found those meaningless pleasantries to be all that important. It's Monday, I'm not rich waking up in a bed with two beautiful brown ladyboys with Bacon already sizzling on the stove thanks to my own personal chef, so shove your hello and Good mornings up your overly chipper corn hole. :o :p

Also, my last boss was a passive aggressive b***h.

Mine is a cool cat. Needs to be more assertive but I got no probs.

My bosses are amazing.
I love them, one of them is a jerk.
There are 3 of them.

One sings all the time and another one is really funny and sarcastic.

My boss is friendly to a point. I've found that he takes the approach that best suits him. In other words, he's not a person I'd hang around with after work.

My boss is awesome. He's more like a coworker who gives us directions, and he always has random quotables like, "You know it's a bad department meeting when you think, "It's a really good thing I don't have matches right now!"" Or "Full House was the destruction of the American empire!" :lmao:

My boss is also my coach and one of my best friends. If it weren't for that man, I would be a hobo.

My boss at my part time job is a coked out, rock star, bar owner. He's cool though. Good guy.

My boss is my shareholder and he is a very busy guy who manages his conglomerate. I see him only rarely.

My boss is cool. She's a old lady thats in her 50's but she I still hit. But thats just me.

AHHHH THE MARK OF THE BEAST!

Had me going for a second.... To get back to the thread, I've no boss, not in a position to be my own right now, so I'm looking for one.

I'm a Uni instructor so my boss is pretty much a passive director who has a sit-down with me about once a semester. Very hands off. Actually a bit too much. My dealings are mostly with the office staff in charge of my pay and hours.

I have had hellish bosses in the past though. I had one manager at a men's clothing store when I was in college. She gave a guy a suit that had been altered for pick-up. But the guy wasn't the one who ordered it. He was a scam-artist and basically stole it by sweet talking his way into getting it from her without an alteration ticket or receipt. Instead of falling on her sword like she should have done for such a stupid and unprofessional error, she blamed it on a part-time employee (who was on duty at the time) for not informing her that the con-artist wasn't the real customer. I don't know if the higher-ups really believed her, but the part-timer was canned. This incompetent manager got fired a couple years later, but I don't know what the reason was. Maybe she blamed the wrong person for her next screw-up.

***** got what she deserved.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up in politics, or some other business where throwing people under the bus is an asset.

I have two bosses. They're both really lovely but one of them is terrifying. Not because he's bad just because he's powerful.

My boss is one of those 'man's man' sort of guys. he removed all the hand guards on the slicers in the kitchen because 'it's less efficient to have them' and if you go to rinse a bleeding finger under the water you're a wimp.

also I brought in an iced mocha the other day and he's like "that's a girls drink"

I replied "and it's delicious."

Let me guess... your boss drives a hummer and has a fantasy-football team? What I'm saying is, he sounds like one of those tools who act like they have something to prove.

My boss is awesome. He gets me free hockey and baseball tickets and memorobilia because he works for both teams on the side. He's overweight but works with us daily and stands up for us if any issue arises. He's also really good at gambling and has won over half a million in earnings. In fact, last time I went with him, I won over $1500.

He's very tactful and know how to handle bad situations with ease. He's been doing this job for 30 yrs. I know he's going to retire one day and then I'll be really bummed out b/c nobody can match this guy in experience and awesomeness.

My job is interesting, I'm a boss but have a boss of my own. I do all the scheduling, run a weekly production department meeting, and dealing with various clients pre-shoot and he does mostly sales. He used to do all of the shooting, but I've taken that over so he just does sales and still photography now, leaving the video stuff to me.

My manager is like a tiny cosmic event, you can even question or doubt if it ever happened at all.
