This happens in our house too (most annoying!) If one light on a circuit goes, the whole circuit trips out and has to be reset...means a trip into the garage where our circuit box is.

You've just blown the fuse. The lights and electric for the TV and stuff run on a separate system. You might need to check out your electricity box and change the bulbs. I'd wait until morning because it's too dark to do it now

Replace the bulb, then reset the breaker. Everything should be OK.
it sounds like you tripped a breaker, turn it back on and if it happens again you probably have a short and need to call Dempsey electric

Plus we've had a earthquake at the same time, so therewere multiple options.
