Heyman turning on Lesnar to side with Rollins would be just like the angle they did with Show back in Brock's first run.

Yeah. I remember hating that too. I think the storyline was that Paul didn't think Lesnar can beat Show, which I found funny when I was young because he just beat both The Rock and The Undertaker clean right before that. Heck he beat Taker in the Hell in a cell clean, So I didn't take it seriously at all this "you can't beat big show garbage". Heck the man did everything to show that Heyman thought he couldn't do to him right before he betrayed him, so that is still one of the more illogical betrayals I've seen. Heck, after seeing Lesnar manhandle Kane and Show on Monday, his destruction of Cena to win the title, and beating Taker at Mania, betraying Lesnar would just be dumb dumb dumb IMO. Now I'd actually love to see Rollins with Heyman at some point, but betraying Lesnar just isn't what I want to see.

One source says that a babyface turn by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at tonight’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view is unlikely and that officials were just testing the waters to see how fans would react on last Monday’s RAW. This was also done to gauge interest. It was noted that WWE adding Seth Rollins to the title match with Lesnar and John Cena has really opened up their options and has made booking Lesnar a lot easier.

In other news for tonight’s Rumble pay-per-view, there was some speculation that Daniel Bryan lost the Bray Wyatt match on RAW because he’s winning the 30-man Rumble main event tonight. While Roman Reigns has been expected to win tonight’s main event and Triple H & Vince McMahon were both in agreement earlier this month on Roman winning, word coming out of this week’s TV tapings is that now nothing is finalized in regards to who will win.

We noted last week how there are plans for the team of The Miz and Damien Sandow to finally split with Sandow likely getting the singles push. Word is that Triple H and Vince McMahon have been working on the angle and are looking to stretch it out until WrestleMania 31.

Vince and Triple H are at odds over another tag team – The Ascension. Vince is reportedly ready to move on from pushing the tag team already but Triple H believes they need more time. There’s a feeling that fans aren’t buying the act but WWE keeps on booking them the same way and it isn’t working, at least not yet.

On a related note, it’s no secret now that Vince has been the one scripting Roman Reigns’ bad promos lately. Despite how bad they may come off, there’s a feeling that Vince really does have a vision for Reigns.

That "he lost on Raw so he's going to win at the PPV" bs is so predictable. Obviously so since it always sparks speculation among fans and news sites.

I'm hyped for tonight's PPV. I almost can't wait to see the crowd decimate the finale 2 years in a row. Let's go Philly! :funny:

Heyman turning on Brock is dumb.

Brock being a babyface is dumb.

Like Chris, they're perfect for each other, and Brock without Heyman means he'll have to cut his own promos again. I thought they had learned their lesson about that, going by Jericho's podcast with Heyman.

Well if you thought Roman reigns winning would be bad just imagine this
Last night, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appeared to tease an appearance at the Royal Rumble by posting a photo online of himself in Philadelphia. Of course, the event will be held tonight at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. It was later reported by F4WOnline.com that Johnson is expected to appear at the event in some capacity.

According to MetsFan4Ever of Reddit.com, a former WWE employee who maintains contact with people in the organization, he was told in recent weeks that company officials have had serious discussions of Johnson making a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble Match and ultimately winning it. This would lead to Johnson facing Brock Lesnar in the main event at WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara, California.

I don't see what the point would be to have Rock vs. Brock for the title with a possiblity of both leaving at WM anyway unless Seth Cashes in at the end of the match.

Rollins doesn't need Heyman. Now Reigns on the other hand desperately needs him.

Well there has been talk of turning Reigns heel if sticking him with Heyman is the way to go that could be interesting.

I thought Reigns was doing fine promo wise before Vince started scripting him.

That's what's so interesting about the Rumble. There's many possibilities that can happen, but the leading outcomes for Wrestlemania's main event are:

Reigns Vs. Lesnar
Reigns Vs. Rollins
Bryan Vs. Lesnar
Bryan Vs. Rollins

Brock being a babyface is dumb.

I don't mind him being a face as long as he doesn't get soft again. Having him doing stuff like saving Mysterio (you know the same guy he used to beat up) made me want to puke.

In the last 18 years I have only missed one Mania and one Summerslam, both by choice

Which shows?

Did you guys hear Bruce Pritchard in his Monday Night Wars debate with Bischoff drop the bomb that back in 98, WWE almost had a deal with Hogan to come back to WWF in time for WM14 and replace Shawn as the leader of DX to put over Austin at Mania.

In another interview, Pritchard mentioned that It would have lead to them holding Bret until Mania for him to lose the belt to Hogan and then put over Taker on the way out.

And also Shawn was going to turn face and job to HHH on the way out with Trips later turning on Hogan and taking over DX while Hogan would take time off for 6 months and later come back as a face.

Now another interesting tidbit is that Slam Wrestling has an archived headline on the matter of Hulkster possibly returning to WWE in 1998: http://slam.canoe.ca/SlamWrestlingArchive/jan10_coach.html

I heard that from his Screwing Bret shoot interview. I'm not sure if Hogan would've made the jump. He had a very cushy deal with WCW and I doubt McMahon had the money to match his offer. As for the DX thing, that was a failure waiting to happen as Michaels would've refused to play ball and play second fiddle in the group as he had issues with Hogan stemming from earlier in the 90s.

Bret Hart Vs. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XIV would've been fu**ing awesome though!

Lesnar may be booked as a monster heel but he's transcended the entire face/heel concept. People love him regardless because he possesses that larger than life star power.

I can't buy any of that. Especially when Hogan's ego was at it's height at that time. He wouldn't even return the favor to HBK years later during their Summerslam match.

So is the Rumble match last these day's or the world title match?

Lana took a shot at Rock on Twitter. Interesting.

It never made sense to me to ever book Brock Lesnar as an underdog in any angle, how is anyone supposed to buy it? So Heyman suddenly thinking Big Show, who had been beaten many times before, was a better bet than the most ferocious athlete in WWE history made him look a fool as well. I think Rollins and Heyman could work in the same way Punk and Heyman did, maybe even more so as it wont be such a battle getting the crowd to boo.

The actual match sucked, but Shawn Michaels winning the 1995 Royal Rumble was one of the greatest swerve finishes ever. #OnlyOneFoot

Me and my Dad have always watched WWE PPV's together, obviously none since last June. I talked to him tonight about the Rumble and what was going on and he offered to pay for it, but I have decided not to bother.

They got me mildly interested with the booking of the Triple threat title match angle and with the supposed open possibility of the Rumble match, but I simply don't trust WWE to do the right thing at all these days, so I am not wasting mine or anyone else's money on it.
