The Dark Knight What makes TDK so special?

Sounds good man! In my state, we've managed to crush this thing so cinemas reopened last weekend. I saw raiders of the lost ark and Jurassic Park but I do hope they rerelease TDK trilogy. Seeing those 3 in the theater were some of the best experiences I've ever had.

That's great news, and especially as all we get down here from the USA is doom and gloom ( unless you're in Australia, of course, because they h). Anyway, great to hear your state has Covid under control. Really looking forward to seeing TDK on the big screen, especially the Pruitt building sequence- the sonar imaging looks amazing in the cinema.

Cheers.

Batman Begins is playing at my local cinema this weekend. Definitely going! Been 15 years since I've seen it on the big screen.

Thanks! Here's hoping TDK is next week.

Saw Begins last night - a very well made film, its aged beautifully since 2005 - really shows off Nolan's talents as a director in terms of the look and mood of the film.

Looking forward to TDK this evening. Cheers.

I would love to watch all of these again in the cinema. I’ve aged out of being able to do them all in a one day-long cinema marathon but would be up for going on consecutive days or weekends.

My friends, I just got back from TDK. I haven't seen it on the big screen since 2008. It was pure magic. Nolan's visuals are stunning , and I noticed a bunch of stuff I hadn't seen on my last DVD viewing.

I have seen this film literally hundreds of times since it came out ( it's one of my top 3 films of all time), and it was just as good tonight as it has ever been. Definitely worth the price of admission and more.

Saw Batman Begins last weekend at the cinema and it was amazing to see it again on the big screens. Last time was in 2005! and Now, I just found out that The Dark Knight will be playing this weekend. I saw the film 4 times in the cinema back in 2008, and its still the most breathtaking cinema experience I've ever had. you know I'm going again this weekend!

That's awesome that they're playing the trilogy though.

I can guarantee it will be just as good as the first time. I noticed the elevated train running in the first establishing shot of the Black Wayne enterprises building and s bunch of other subtle details. You are in for a treat, all over again.

Hang in there dude. No doubt sooner or later TDK will be on a big screen near you. Cheers, and stay safe.

Not sure where to put this but...one thing that always kinda confused me..

When Gordon “gets shot” during the parade. Who, in those moments, know about Jim faking his death? Because it always seemed like Nolan shot Stephens to act like he’s legit checking Gordon and finding out he’s dead. I get that Rachel and Harvey thought it was real. But was always confused by Stephens’ reaction. Did he always know about the ruse, but Nolan tried to play it off just to shock the audience (which would be cheap)? Or is his character just a good actor lol.

Rewatched TDK last night at my local cinema. My god, what an experience. Just as breathtaking as it was seeing it in the cinema back in 2008. There was a row of people in front of me last night, looked to be early teens. They hadn't seen the film before and once the magic trick happened, they all turned to look at eachother and by the end of the film they were on the edge of their seats. They all clapped at the end and all I can think of is how that was my same reaction as a teenager back in 2008 when I saw it. I've seen the film so many times and it still had me on the edge of my seat last night.

A true masterpiece in every sense and one of the best films ever made.

Maaaan, hearing the roar of the Tumbler on the IMAX sound system was worth the $5 ticket itself.

You and I both, matey. The best part was seeing with a friend of mine who had never seen it before! She was so into it; gasping, oooh-ing, ahhh-ing...she reminded me of me when I saw it for the first time <3

Just rewatched TDK on HBO Max. This movie is just relentlessly good and the plot never lets up from the start.

Beginning with the armored car / Batmobile / truck flip sequence, this movie seems to go through several finales before culminating with Harvey, Gordon, and Batman coming face to face with the consequences of their actions.

Any takers?
