The Dark Knight Rises Two-Face in the Third Film?

^You just reminded me of something. The phrase "you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain" is repeated twice in the movie. Dent died a "hero", while Batman lived to become the "villain". If Two-Face survives, that'll ruin the theme Nolan ran through TDK.

I dont know about that, two-face would then of lived to become the villain...
and wouldn't of died the hero, where as batman well, according to his speech isn't a hero persay...hes just what gotham needs..

oh **** that last speech just gives me tingles.

So we wil see Batman beat up crimianls more violently.

That and moping around, hopefully not too much. Alfred's going to have to snap him out of it.

I dont know about that, two-face would then of lived to become the villain...

But if Two-Face lives to become a villain who will have died a hero?

oh **** that last speech just gives me tingles.

It is a tingle-inducing speech. :batty:

I wanted to do that monologue for my most recent audition, but it's way too short and a tad too irrelevant to do as just a monologue. It's incredible in its true context though.

what if they mixed the Dark Victory scene and Hush ie. Dent graverobbing Falcone and Riddler supposedly stealing Todd's body. Have someone steal Dent's body and Batman thinks its the Joker but finds that the Joker is still in prison. Gordon gets a riddle which reveals Dent's coin.

Thanks to The Joker, this is the case; Dent could've died from that ultimatum, but he lived to be a villain. But Batman was defending his statement by taking the blame for his actions so the public sees that Dent died a hero and Batman has lived to become that villain.

So - yes - having Harvey Dent alive in the next movie would throw off The Joker's plan and the sacrifice Batman had to make in order to save the spirit of Gotham, ruining one of the biggest points of The Dark Knight.

Please Chris. Let him come back. First Aaron said he didnt. Now hes saying he DEFINATELY does. But how? Any ideas?

Hell... if I was part of the cast involved in the biggest movie of the decade, I'd want to come back too.

I'm sure Maggie Gyllenhaal would love some more face time in the Bat-franchise as well... but her characters story has ended. Game over.

Respect Nolan's story choices and move on... Two-Face is dead.

^Agreed

Two-Face is my favorite batman rogue, but hes dead, and were gonna have to move on without him

Yea I love Face, but he is brown bread. I think it would weaken the story trying to explain how he somehow survived the fall, and somehow crept away despite the place being completely surrounded by police.

What Ive seen in these movies,is that they take secenes from the comics and fit them in with their own spin.

For example. A stash of money was burned in TDK and that scene was taking from The Long Halloween.

A scene from the first Batman Comic might be used. When Joker accidentally stabbed himself and it looked like he died. But it was revealed he was still alive in the Ambulance. That might work and Harvey gets sent away to Philadelphia to receive treatment from Dr Thomas Elliot.

Re-reading Long Halloween recently it's pretty apparent that a lot of things were pretty much directly lifted from the book into TDK.

But seriously, Face is dead.

Nothing about Two-Face's death is written in stone. They could bring him back, I see enough ambiguity in TDK to allow it to happen in a believable manner, and if you think it would "cheapen" his story arc in TDK, then you have no imagination. I will wait until B3 comes out before I believe 100% Two-Face is dead.

Well if you can explain how he can get up, severely injured, and somehow just walk away with the whole place surrounded by cops and it not be utterly stupid...I'll eat my shoe! :D

And the idea that Gordon and co smuggle him away and put him in Arkham is just as stupid.

Well several things:

1. The cops went off to chase bats, so they may not be there anymore.

2. We have to remember that they are going to cover up Harvey being the bad guy. For all Gordon tells them, Dent is still just an injured DA who was thrown off a ledge by Batman, meaning they would simply call an ambulance to take him to a hospital.

He could simply wake up in the ambulance and escape.

Here's what I'll say. I trust Nolan. If he brings Harvey back, and it sound pretty legitimate, I'll accept it. If Nolan leaves him dead, I'm fine with that too.

Just for fun... again... here's an excerpt from The Dark Knight script...

I mean... hey, I love Ras Al Ghul too you know, but...

This.

Yeah, this character dying was too bad but it does go into the realism that Nolan uses to make the films even more believable. Oh well, I'm just curious who the next villain will be. I trust Nolan to think-up something really great....let's hope, ha ha!

He didn't had much screen time as Two-Face, but for f**k sake, he's done with. Plus, in the time he was there, he was great! So no need to bring him back, he's done with, just like The Joker.

You'll also notice that a lot of Heath's lines are not in there...wonder why? Oh yes, improvisation.

But no, we can't improvise now.

The pilot of ER had Juliana Marguiles character dying in the first episode...heck they even left it open as a possibility. But, fan support brought her back.

Just saying.
