I got a 55-200mm zoom lens.
Wanted a better one but it was almost 500

I've got already two zoom lenses. 28-80mm Nikkor G. 80-210mm Tamron. The Tamron works okay but I do want to replace it later. I have no real need for anything beyond 200mm unless I'm shooting the moon and peeping on movie stars.

I'm impressed you have a 55-200mm. Use it as much as possible until you can afford a better one. Be sure it has aspherical capabilities. That's why I never bought a 55-200 because in that range I can't believe there's no distortion at both ends. I'm buying filters to improve the composition and so I need the MC-30 remote cord. Patience and planning are more important than snapshooting a good photo.
