What version of Doctor Doom do you want to see?

Wait, wait, I got it....Peter Dinklage as Doom!

(Totally j/k.)

Benedict Cumberbatch for Doom if they were going with an all 30 something cast.

Trailer:

20th Century Logo

Mara: Oh my God...what the hell happened!

Jordan: Do you even know what you're doing?

Teller: Ok..We have a minor problem here..but the solution is right there in our reach..

Bell: I think that's a big stretch there, Doc

Teller stretches out for and grins directly at the camera: You got that right...

Marvel Comics Logo across screen

Female Dr. Doom in a dungeon looking at an old picture of her and Reed together. She rubs her iron mask.

Doom: We grew up in same gifted classes, ..I always loved him....but he had to go marry that dumb floozy Sue. Wasn't I attractive enough? He'll see...that I'm even MORE beautiful than before...and I know a man that will definitely appreciate it..

She looks a picture of Jordan

Scene flashes to Jordan childhood..

Jordan: Life's not easy being only black guy in the family...
Will I ever know my true parents?

Mara: Why do you keep bringing that up all the time?

Lightening strikes and older Jordan seen at the mall with Dr. Doom

Teller: What the...what are you doing with my ex?

Jordan: You and her..that's the past... I think she's right for me.

Teller: But she's my ex...how can you do that bro?

Jordan: Ok...first off..stop calling me bro.

Teller: That's not cool.

Jordan: You're married to stepsister...what you don't have feelings for her, do you?

Teller stands their silently...

lightening flashes to another scene

Mara: Why do you keep talking about her...let her and my brother find the love he needs...

Teller: Of course I love you. It's just not right...he's not right for her. Doom's a genius and your step brother is a playboy...it just doesn't make sense.

Mara: Why do you keep having to talk about Doom's genius. Just because she's has a Phd..

Teller: I'm just a few years away from my Phd!

Mara: Is that what this is about? It's like I'm practically invisible to you...

Baritone Narrator: When a family bond has been broken...

Mara: You may have a hard heart...but I love that you have such a hard body..

Bell winks: Yep, it's clobberin time...

Wolverine: Don't do it...its a mistake!

Baritone Narrator: The only way to repair it...you need something...Fantastic

If they are doing a SERIOUS Doom, he'd be an awesoem choice! Too bad I don't see him being selected, even if they do a 30s Doom. The version of Khan he played I think gives a strong indication of how awesome his Doom would be.

Cumberbatch would be an awesome Doom... in a different movie.

The most important thing about Doom is his arrogance. He truly believes he can do no wrong, that there are none greater than him. That's the Doom I want to see.

I can't help wondering what if they don't specify who Doom is so we have say siblings working alongside Reed and one of them is killed leading to the other blaming Reed making him their nemesis because of their lost sibling...

Nothing says the Doom we see in the movie is either male or female they employ the armour to allow everyone think who this Doom is maybe we could have Reed discover it isn't who he thought it was...

Can't wait to see Victoria Van Damme, her goat legs and "wonderful" ridiculous belgian (forced) accent. "Salut Reed, une fois, tu m'as pas oublié, hein ? Tu m'as plaquée pour cette dévergondée donc tu vas l'payer !" (Translation "Hello Reed. I hope you haven't forgotten me. You have abandonned me for these w...e (Sue), so you will pay for it !") Yeah, I want to see that. And don't forget to cast an asian girl in the role, it's very important to have characters as diverse as possible.

Well, after reflexion, I am not sure that I want to see that...

All these "female Doom" jokes are so fresh and clever.

Female Doom is gonna be more awesome then MFJ

I want him to be a physician with a disturbingly high mortality rate.

For teh reelizmz.

Whilst trying to post on the ideology of madness podcast site (Funnybooks with Arun and Paulie if you're interested) I finally managed to get a post and disturbingly it was about possible changes to the Fantastic Four movie.

Well I wondered what if there was two Von Doom siblings and one of them died in that experiment with the surviving sibling donning a suit of powered armour to get revenge on Reed for their siblings death.

Although not responsible for the accident Reed does feel guilty and when forced to cope with the Storm twins/siblings (whatever) he tries to make amends by being more careful.

Von Doom turns up and of course we all assume its Victor but exactly when did Victor learn that trick about swapping bodies?

What if Valeria Von Doom ended up with Victor's consciousness after inadvertedly saving Reed from Victor's bodyswapping trick?

You heard all the strife over them changing the Storm siblings how will they react to a female Von Doom whose actually Victor in his sister's body?

Lets see how they react to that!:woot:

This is how they are going to do Doom in this movie:

Reed is in love with Sue, but they never get together, but Doom comes in and seduces Reed, they have sex and Sue catches them in the act. Reed rejects Doom she gets upset breaks a mirror which cuts her face. She cant stand the scar so she puts on the mask.

Doom's motivation for hating Reed will be as a jaded lover.

Take it to the bank, it will be that or pretty close to that. It's the level of stupidity of this production crew.

Hmm... I could definitely see them throwing in a love triangle between the three.

I could also see them making Doom a corporate CEO once again. It seems like they're trying to break stereotypes with this film, and putting a female in charge of corporation would be a decent way of doing that.

What if the experiment involved Victor's suit of powered armour and he's accidentally locked inside and blames Reed for his own impetuous use of his own invention ignoring Reed's warnings?

Still think Victor uses the armour to hide his true identity as he's not actually who people think he is and that discovery would cost him his reputation and wealth since how do you confirm someone whose claiming to have transferred their mind into someone else?

if he's not smart enough to get out of his suit, he can't be much of a threat to the FF.

I still maintain FF #57 - 60 as a classic Doom story. Unfortunately, ROTSS may have went just far enough to ruin that for us where movies are concerned.

That's probably my favorite also. If they do things right and re-introduce Doom and reintroduce the Surfer and Galactus, I could see a point 5 films down the road, when they could do that story some justice and I think the fact that there were some superficial similarities in ROTSS would be forgotten . . . but that would be in a crazy utopian world where everything falls together beautifully and that's not likely to happen.

I also always liked the relatively simple story that ran around issues 83, 84, 85? ( I don't remember the exact issues, but it was right around there) in which the FF ended up trapped in Latveria without their powers. It had a lot of cool elements that fleshed out Doom, Latveria, Doombots etc. without becoming overly complex, so I liked the way that story worked. But I don't think that would work as a film because the threat level isn't intense enough, but it was a cool, fun story and could be modified to work better as a part of a film.

Let's get real progressive here and go with a female Doom who is pissed at the FF because Sue rejected her years ago at college...

Sue once made fun of how Victoria doesn't swing her arms when she walks. it's been grudge city ever since.
