That seems to be the thinking of several posters here.
Benedict Cumberbatch for Doom if they were going with an all 30 something cast.

What if the experiment involved Victor's suit of powered armour and he's accidentally locked inside and blames Reed for his own impetuous use of his own invention ignoring Reed's warnings?
I still maintain FF #57 - 60 as a classic Doom story. Unfortunately, ROTSS may have went just far enough to ruin that for us where movies are concerned.
