The standard bearer, a classic action adventure that blends so many elements fantastically, and there's a slightly more morally ambiguous side to Indy than we see in the movies that followed. The big action sequence and chase in Cairo remain classics (the chase has that neat nod to the trailblazing stunt in Stagecoach), Belloq is a great villain and the chemistry between Indy and Marion is on point.
