The impossibly good looking combination of Richard Gere and Kim Bassinger have a very 80's "romantic" dynamic in this fast paced, clichéd sultry thriller that was actually a lot better than I was expecting.

Casey Ryback returns to team with Chesty Nuts sporting hair and Katherine Heigl before everyone hated her, there's a running throughline setting up a showdown between Ryback and badass psycho mercenary Penn, but when the time comes Ryback bamboozles him by throwing more hand gestures than an L.A. gang convention and then snapping his neck without getting a mark on him or a hair out of place! Seagal's ego is all over the script and there's some "we didn't shoot enough coverage" editing in the last 20 minutes, but this is entertaining, oldschool action entertainment!
