Sisu: Road to Revenge

Stephen Lang just can't help himself when it comes to reigniting feuds with old foes. Doubles down on the absurdity and throws physics out the window to entertaining results. However, I did feel that it peaked early with the appropriately called "Motor Mayhem" chapter.

Predictable but also heartwarming slice of life type of film. Almost wish it was longer, would have loved to have spent more time with these characters. Brendan Fraser understood the assignment perfectly.

THE HUNTED LADY ( 1977)

Years before she became a nighttime soap icon Knots Landing ,Donna Mills starred in the thriller Telefilm , The Hunted Lady , as a wrongly accused cop on the run from the Law ,and The Mob.

As it turns out , the film, like The Norliss Tapes, was intended as a 2 hour pilot , in which her character would roam the country as a fugitive, helping people along the way.

It's pretty clearly modeled off of The Fugitive TV series , and in this first adventure, she flees to Nevada where she ends up caught in a land dispute between a Baron, and Native Peoples.

Robert Reed of The Brady Bunch and Will Sampson of One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, both put in good performances, while Donna Mills makes a charming and charismatic lead of a potential new series.

The film is pretty good, though , I could see how if you came to it cold ,in 1977 ,and there's this side story which deviates from the narrative , and there's no resolution to her plight , in the film , you may have scratched your head , and move onto the next thing.

According to Wikipedia, the series was made in the context of hits like Charlies Angels and The Bionic Woman , when Network execs saw a profit in Female lead action themed tv shows.

Mills is very much in the Lindsay Wagner school in this film .

It's too bad it didn't catch on in 1977 , but , with so many choices back then , I could see how it could get lost in the shuffle.

But nevertheless, I liked it as a one off .

Airing on November 28, 1977, In the top ten was a country ballad by Crystal Gale .

Another banger from Yorgos and definitely some of the best acting I've seen yet from both Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons. The Favourite is still my favorite film in his filmography and this is probably a close second just because I loved the mix of social commentary and dark comedy in this.

Not usually my kind of film but I'll pretty much watch almost anything with Joel Edgerton in it and honestly I thought this was quite beautiful, moving and even devastating.

Outside of Comic, Sci-fi, and Fantasy stuff, the other biggest part of my life , has been the music of The Beatles .

I discovered truly them as a kid , when A Hard Days Night aired on the Disney Channel, in the late 1980s .

They've been my favorite band ever since .

In 1995 , I eagerly watched the 3 part Beatles Anthology on ABC , here in The States , and I bought the three Anthology CD's around the same time .

A few years later I got the 8 part VHS version of The Anthology , then the Anthology Book close to Twenty Years ago, then I got the Bluray edition of The Anthology.

So, having seen it a billion times over the past 30 years, I didn't think there would be anything new with the Anniversary release on Disney Plus, until I heard about Episode Nine .

Thankfully, Episode Nine is a fitting conclusion to the whole project, and if anything, is a much better way to end the series than they did 30 years ago .

Episode Nine covers the inception and the making of the original Beatles Anthology , and includes the process( of the 3 remaining Beatles) recording the 3 John Lennon songs given to them by Yoko Ono.

If you're a massive Beatle fan who already owns the Bluray or VHS , part nine certainly adds to the other parts .

There was certainly alot of interviews and outtakes that I'd never seen before , and it was nice to see alot of material from George Harrison .

So for me, it was definitely worth the wait and really does , in my opinion serve as a much more fitting conclusion to the project than just ending in 1970 as the original does .

So, I highly recommend checking it out if you're a Beatles fan , and you're interested in what it took to put The Anthology together .

So, I'll post hear my favorite Beatles Song of the three that they recorded for the project, Real Love .
