What we know so far!!!

Well what I took is that he was going to use flashbacks to tell the "origin" and not frontload it in the first act like some comic book movies do. I really do think it is a straight up reboot.

It is a straight up reboot. It's just not following the hour long set up scenerio of other comic book movies, where we have to wait and see the accident, blah, blah, blah before we see the Hero. He'll already be Hulk, then according to norton, they reveal how he became Hulk in snippets throughout the movie. I think this is a nice fresh way to do it. All these Superhero movies nowdays are following the same old routine.

I think this is because people's first complaint about the first movie is for the 40 minutes wait before the Hulk comes up. Now, seeing that this is ANYWAY the second one, and that people already saw what makes Bruce transforming into the Hulk, they just wants to go on... and do not waste another 40 min to show it... or waste the first-movie 40 minutes at all.

Well i believe that if the first 40 minutes before we get to see Hulk were actually engaging, ppl wouldn't have minded the wait. It was about 40 minutes or so before we first saw Batman in costume in BB, and i loved every minute of the wait. Infact some of my favorite parts of Batmn Begins were of the non-Batman scenes. Batman was just the cherry on the cake to me...that's how a Superhero movie should be made.

Agree!!! More character development (which im sure norton will do really well)

i was so pissed off when there was no development for eddie brock. i thought they'd really set up his story before venom, but it didn't happen.. what a cop out.

sorry but its an unfair comparison, Bruce Wayne had Ninja training, thats like the coolest thing ever, Bruce Banner has...what?

all jokes aside. Wayne's way into becoming Batman is way more intersting that Banner's way into becoming Hulk. Anyway you look at it.

That's why it would have been much better if they would have explored the Why's and How's later, like in the sequels. A big flash of light, Green mushroom cloud, KA-BOOOM, Black screen, Banner waking up screaming in the hospital, later Hulking-out. Then for the next 1 hour and 20 minutes get on with the story. :woot:

completely agree, have Bruce figure out why he survived, then we find out about his father and mother when he does.

Well off topic for a bit I have found a new cast member in the movie. It's martin starr.that guy from knocked up and superbad.Well in the new entertainment weekly fall movie preview addition it states that he will play alongside Edward Norton in the incredible hulk.

To play alongside Norton eh, hmm. I guess he could only be Doc Samson not unless there is a new character we haven't heard about.

rick jones?.... the guy looks young enough and IMO, could play the part just based on his looks.

Finally you see it as I thought it should have been  :oldrazz: :woot:

have you read Stephen King's IT?... thats how a Hulk movie should be IMO, the time line thing anyway. Have 2 stories taking place in two different times (one in the present and one in the past) and when Bruce finds a mystery in the present, we go back in time to find out what really happened.

That's an interesting way of putting things... I very much enjoyed the book back in the days

I like it but it's just that Bruce isn't amnesic.

Hmmmmm. That might have worked as well. But at this point I don't think it would be a good idea to confuse the audience anymore than they might be already. I think the best bet, and my dream opening, would be with the count down Having already started *que dreamy music*

“ten minuted until gamma detonation Dr. Banner, all levels in the green.” “Good Igor, all precautions have been made, disabled. all fail safes and commence with the countdown,” Banner looks through the binoculars at the test site and is shocked to see a car racing across the test area. “Stop the countdown, there’s a person driving across the test area.! “ ”yes Dr. Banner.” “I’ll drive out there and get whoever that is into the secondary bunker.” Banner leaves. Igor say to himself, Banner wouldn’t share his research with me, he doesn’t make mistakes. I’ll show him a mistake. The countdown continues. As Banner gets closer to the trespasser he hears the countdown continuing “ T-minus two minute” “Good L Lord” He say as approaches the young man. “You fool! You’re trespassing on a government test area. The bomb is going to be detonated in less than two minutes!” “Chill out dude, I just won $100.” “$100 isn’t going to do you much when you’re dead. Hurry, we can just make it to the bunker.” “T-minus 5, 4 “Get in there.” Banner throws the young man into the bunker and looks back at the bomb. “3, 2, 1. The screen goes black for 10 second and bright white and slowly begins to rumble. Then a huge explosion and Banner wake up, his eyes white as he beings to Hulk-out.

That’s what I’d like to see in the first five minutes. Then the story starts in the present. See simple :woot:

no, forget the amnesic part, Bruce really doesnt know about his early childhood, that part belongs to Hulk and after the Hulk is released, he gets little glimpses from Hulk about his early years and wants to find out what really happened, he doesnt know that he'd adopted and stuff like that.

thats how i'd start it too, then we go on from there to Bruce on the run, trying to figure out why he's alive and all that stuff.

That's just plagiarism of the great Stan Lee :o :cwink: :oldrazz:

The story should be told in present-tense. The flashback would only draw away from the central plot.

Ok i see your point...
that would make sense...
but do we need to go this back in time with childhood?? I'm just asking, as before peter david's run and Ang's film, the hulk was the hulk from the day the bomb exploded, then the personality etc etc.. but no real childhood/father issue clearly stated...

Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not sure about all of this, it's more the feeling i have...

i believe Davids run and Hulk grey were the only ones that actually showed and dealt with what hapened to Bruce as a child, other may have just talked about it but those two were only ones i think that went back in time and dealt with it.

For me, Bruce's past it a very important part of Hulk, i'm sorry but radiation kills, fullstop. Why would a guy like Bruce be so angry?...these are questions that need to be answered IMO.

His childhood doesn't really matter.
