plus the new news today says nothing about a "restart" infact they call it the "first chapter of our new saga" theres no origin people... its a reboot as in "reviving" a dead franchise. There not "restarting" just ignoring. Think of it as Superman Returns... which ignored superman 3 and 4

Oh no I am looking forward to this movie but I hope it’s nothing like Superman Returns. I thought that movie sucked. Allot of the problems I have with that movie stems form the idea of loosely basing it off the past movies

What do me and CJ have to do to make you understand this is a new fresh start?

Read the synopsis, it starts by saying "In a new beginning...". The film starts with Banner already as the Hulk, five years after the accident, the origin is spooled out throughout the film like Norton said, we understand what made Banner into the Hulk through flashbacks and dialogue. Part of the origin to Hulk in this movie is "Super Solider Serum", that was not in Ang's movie.

Just read some of the other threads or earlier pages and you will understand!!!

t: This pointless argument is really entertaining! I have an idea. Why don't we look at this as a sequel to the comic books t: Or maybe... its a sequel to the TV Series... hmmmm.

What you guys think? Any of you willing to post a 5 paragraph argument on which of these you think its a sequel to.

but btw why the hell does it matter either way? its still something new either way. I'd have no problem excepting a complete reboot, but im not going to deny the fact that in the movie he ALREADY is the hulk, and it starts in the SAME PLACE THE FIRST MOVIE ENDED.

I'm not big on comic origins so I'm subject to correction. But I think Abomination was created by exposure to gamma rays, not necessarily the gamma bomb itself. So they can get away with the serum since it has his blood which has the gamma radiation

The attraction of the Hulk isn't the specifics on exactly how he became the Hulk but the character itself and the conflict.

i understand a reboot fine, just find it very odd he starts out as hulk, as well as the same place the first movie ended... thats what doesnt add up to me.

also this thread is suppose to be based on LEARNING about the movie... last few pages were people shouting "your stupid it's a reboot" when all someone had to simply say, which was stated only a few posts ago which was "the origin would be shown in pieces throught the movie and would envolve the super soldier serum" but nope, people through fits and became the more ignorant ones then the people who still are very confused on the subject.

My attraction to him is his raw power. Any character that is incredibly powerful physically has my attention. I gained a new form appreciation for hulk after playing the Ultimate Destruction game. I mean one man fighting an entire army and is basically unstoppable. He has no guns or sophisticated weapons. Just his fists and feet, well maybe and occasional caught missile that he turns back on his enemies, but thats it. Man I just love it.

Also truthfully, I would be more intrigued with his transformations than his origins. I like watching him transform

Don't worry about that. It is not just the serum on its own that makes Banner into the Hulk, there is a Gamma bomb like machine that causes him to change. The serum probably helped him survive the accident with the gamma bomb/machine and it also was one of the elements needed along with the gamma to make Banner into the Hulk. If there was no Gamma then Banner would probably be a Captain America like character right?
