ah... it could be as intense as the Dark Knight.. and if the restrictions on violence were unlimited, it could really be hardcore...

He would prove that a Punisher movie would be successful being PG-13 and still maintain the necessary violence.

yeah, it always helps when the director is a fan of the comic.
like nolan or,.... sam rami doing spiderman.

but there is always a studio excutive that seems to hire a "Shuemaker" and wants to put nipples on the batsuit.

Wow......I think its best that I don't go into Punisher: War Zone thinking about what Nolan would have done with Frank.

Yeah, seriously. But what if the Punisher movie was backwards!

ooohh!

Nolan= Jesus of comic movies. Him doing punisher,or any marvel film would be fantastic in every sense of the word

Nolan on Punisher?

That would have been the sickest **** ever....

I imagine they'd give him an R-rating too. Which, of course, would be sweet.

Nolan directing a Punisher movie would be like the second coming of Jesus.

TDK was a hard PG13. God only knows what Nolan would do with an R rated Punisher.

Sorry, Nolan directing TDK was the second coming of Jesus :woot:

But admittedly, Nolan does have the magic touch. No doubt a Punisher movie would be all sorts of cool if he did it.

Meh. Just because he's tailor made for Batman and morally skewed characters in general doesn't mean he'd be good for Punisher. His films just lack the grit. Even his Bat flicks are too clean.

He lacks the nihilism and dirtiness that someone like David Fincher excels at.

nolan is awesome and all but he's far from my top choice for a punisher film. some of my directorial picks for the ideal punisher film would be:

+ david fincher
+ alex proyas
+ tony scott
+ david cronenberg
+ brian de palma
+ david ayer

precisely. fincher and most of the directors i listed above would bring the heavy darkness and grit needed for a truly hardcore and realistic punisher film.

Ugh, he's done now, what, 2 Superhero movies? Both Batman? Yeah, BB and the TDK were better than sliced bread, but how does that make him perfect for every hero, every style? Batman and Punisher are closer than Batman and, say, Spider Man, but they are different styles of grit and darkness, at least in my opinion.

I Would Kinda Like to see either Robert Rodriguez or Martin Scorsese direct a Punisher film......:unishr:

seeing nolan do a punisher movie would be cool, but with what the new lexi alexander movie looks like so far it looks like its going to be f***ing sweet.

if nolan is to direct the punisher, then we would all see a more depth in frank's character and personification, not just mindless action scenes

Am I the only one here that never really liked the character of the Punisher?

Let's see, you are in a Punisher message board where naturally Punisher fans congregrate to talk about their favorite character. You tell me? :whatever:
