The Amazing Spider-Man What would YOU like to see Peter evolve into?

Different topic, so different thread. What would YOU like to see Peter evolve into or towards.

He needs to have more confidence, he needs to be funnier, he needs to "evolve" more towards the comic version. I'm so done with the nerdy Parker. I want to see the Peter Parker that has been in the comics for the past 40 years, not the first 4 or 5. As much as people hated Spider-Man 3 he was the closest to the comics in that one.

Just give Spidey more screentime with street crimes and that's all we need. We can't have quips in some of these serious villain scenes when Aunt May's or MJ's lives are in danger.

I think him being a teacher has much more to bring to the table as far as character development.

In Spider-Man 3 he was hired as a full-time photojournalist for the Daily Bugle. So, I want to see him put his journalism skills to some use! In the first three movies he always WAITED for things to happen. It's about time he went after the villains and tried to stop them before they actually do something!

Honestly...If Tobey was your teacher, would you listen to and respect him? Any other person as Peter,then yeah. But the producers know the limit with Tobey.

Nobody respects him as Peter in the movies. It would just add humour. The students throwing things at him and playing pranks on him. No student will take Peters role as a teacher seriously. But thats just an assumption. But Hell. If a nerdy know-it-all butt-kisser became my teacher,I would make his life a misery till he quits,lol

thats what kids do in real life too though. my goverment class = what you just described. I don't partake in it, unless the sub is an ass, but still.

well, we got the montage in SM1 as well as the armoured van robbers, and we got the robbers in the car he took care of in SM2.
But I agree it would be good to see him take care of more normal thugs. What I would really like to see would be the movie opening up, like many comics did, with Spidey bouncing around a warehouse of thugs while the camera clicks away.

As for the evolution, yeah I'd like to see him as a teacher too. I haven't read the JMS stories referred to where he was a teacher, but I read a couple in WOS in the early 90s when he taught at a high school(and they did a cover in tribute to the classic 'Living Brain' issue).
Also agree with the confident funny stuff as Spidey, seeing him getting more comfortable in the role. And some nice touches to go along with the day in day out things about being Spider-man, like the 'where do these guys come from?' bit in SM3.

He is a confident teacher in the comics, and seems like a good one. I don't remember seeing kids throwing things at him. It doesn't need to be like this. Kids may even like him.

At least we know why he wanted those snaps of MJ at the beginning of the first movie...School paper? yeah right.

I still stand by having the students disrespecting him,if he is a teacher. Then slowly warming and accepting the idea. Cause it wouldnt be right if all students that torment and berate him as weve seen in 2 and 3 just get on with him as their teacher.
