I completely agree, Dacman good buddy. Maybe a strong story should now be more important than Pete learning something inane. Let's have a look at what he's learned so far...
Spidey 1: With great power comes great responsibility - the lesson that Pete/Spidey needs to learn, and is completely acceptable within the franchise.
Spidey 2: Stay strong and do the right thing even when you want to have sex with that girl you fancy. O, and don't wash your whites with coloureds.
Spidey 3: Revenge is bad; forgiveness is good. Simplistic - I thought Pete was supposed to be intelligent...? I knew that sh** when I was 5.
What's Spidey 4 going to be?? Don't ask a bald man if you can lend his comb because he has a bad temper and also big wings and a daughter that should be someone else...?
