I couldn't disagree with you more. Lets pu it this way, many individuals are saying that Ratner had to contend with a continuity that was already established as well as the Execs at Fox. But with what we've seen concerning Ratner's style of directing (his ADD style of filming) can you honestly say that he could have done better than Singer with the limitations and interference in X1. I thought X1 was awesome considering it was a make or break film for the franchise.

Plus X-Men had the additional hurdle of bringing back superhero movies from the dead. Blade didn't do that because it wasn't a superhero movie and most people probably didn't realize it had anything to do with a comic book.

You can't really top the Magneto as a kid scene in X Men 1. That was damn good stuff.

yep. makes me sad how underrated the first movie is.

I was rewatching it the other day, and, as much as I'm tired of the guy, they got Wolverine pretty damn near perfect for most of the movie. he was actually cool and collected there, specially in the beggining.

yeah, it had its flaws, but what it did get right was SO right it became f***in great.

X3 is the most fun to watch... the only parts I liked from X2 were the Nightcrawler White House attack and Colossus metaling up. That's it.

I despise X1. That movie was crap.

that's probably one of the dumbest, if not THE dumbest, reason not to like that movie...

I have to go with X1 as my favorite. I liked it best because it seemed more character based (even though they really recreated some of the characters). There was more dialogue I guess because there was a lot less money. I really like the scenes with characters just interacting rather than throwing cars and zapping each other. I think their relationships are more interesting than their powers and that's what sets them apart from the 15 billion other superhero characters out there. (Sometimes it's good to throw a car or two.) The music of X1 really seemed to stand out too. I liked it a lot better than the X2 soundtrack and I didn't even notice the X3 score.

X2 all the way then X3 and X1 lets just face it Singer Beats Ratty hands down, the characters got a lot more time in X2 and especialy my favourite did her scenes brilliantly.

i honestly thought there'd be more votes for x1.anyway thats the movie i voted for, x2 and x3 at a tie, very close behind.

x1 was everything a movie needs to be. funny, thought provoking and dramatic. the budget wasnt as big so i thought it was more creative.

Yeah the nightcrawler scene in X2 will be really hard to top. In X1 the magneto scene where he takes the cops guns and turns them on the cops is classic. I thought alot of X3 stood out. The scene where Prof X dies is a scene that is stuck in my head. Magneto (so called) losing his powers. Same with mystique and alot of other mutants. Pheonix was something that really stood out. Her powers were ridiculously strong lol.

I liked all Xmen movies, but X3 IMO is the best one. Just wish it were 30 minutes longer.
