And The Award For Worst Charactor In X3 Goes To...

Bill Duke should've switched places with Josef Sommer!... :p

I have nothing against Angel but he was pointless in this film. Hell, from the looks of it at the end, he didn't even decide to stay at the mansion.

Angel was pointless? He symbolized why the cure was wrong! It was an extremely important message. I loved seeing Angel fly with the same wings he tried to cut off as a child. It was beautiful!

Sometimes I wonder how many of you really "watched" the movie. :o

Professor X. The X3 version was very much out of character.

I think they were basing some characters in this movie off the ultimate x men series. In that, the prof was a little more manipulative, and took his psychic powers to levels that other renditions of the character would deem unethical. In this movie it came out that he had manipulated jeans mind (to serve what he thought was best) and he transferred his own mind into another human being to avoid death. IMO it was good to see perhaps a little darkness in the prof.

Also, the prof vs phoenix scene was the best scene in the movie.

^Agreed...very powerful scene

Professor X annoyed me when he was in the infirmary (SP?) talking to Wolverine about Jean. I was just sitting there thinking "What happened to him???". He was like a totally different character.

Angel def. had a decent role in the movie. I was a bit surprised at him showing up at the end to save his dad. How the hell did he know exactly where to be.

I understood all of that, but come on! He was in it for what seemed like 15 minutes. He didn't do anything.

Wait wait wait. There were actual characters in this movie? They all seemed like cardboard cutouts lacking any real personality to me...

I love Colossus as a character, but I think his role in X3 was boring. His few seconds in X2 were more entertaining. :down

And then he became somebody whose only purpose in the whole movie was to literally poke his head through a door.

Well first off he knew Worthington Labs was being attacked just like everyrone else. Second, he could've easily spotted the Brotherhood taking his father to the roofs edge from overhead.

after he played an integral role in the mutant cure storyline he officially becomes an X-men. What more do you want?

i hate psylocke!

WEll when you think about it the realy is nothing to like about her because she was only in what two one second scenes?

The worst character was Nightcrawler - because I missed him in this film. That was probably my biggest complain with X3.

he was bamfing for a very long time.

at least i hope the smell in that theater was brimstone...

Agreed.

It was my most favourite scene out of all. And yeah, it was pretty cool to the darker side of Xavier.

I think I saw someone doing "bamfing" at the final battle when Magneto's first wave attacked Alcatraz...

I dunno, something. The flashback to his childhood in the beginning all but promised he'd be a big part of the movie and he just wasn't. There was a whole hell of a lot they could have done with him. Instead he got scared of a needle and then flew away, not to be seen again until he showed up just to poke his head through a door and then swoop down and catch his dad as he was thrown from a roof.

Angel was better than Rogue. At least he had some good scenes.

Wait... Rogue was in this movie?

You're kidding right? Damn. I must have blinked my eyes and missed her.

"I want to be able to touch people, Logan. A hug. A hand-shake. A kiss."

How slow do you blink? :p lol...

Rogue clearly could of been a larger character in the film, however I think the story they gave her justified her screen time. She represented the mutants that took the cure, the ones who simply wanted to be normal.

I wish I would have gotten that much out of it, otherwise I might have liked it more. I knew what they were trying to convey, but it never really convinced me. I don't think Angel was pointless . . . but I don't think his role was well executed.

Thank God. I thought I was the only one who did not like the President (not the character--the actor who played him).

Professor X was not out of character in X3. He was a developing character. Character development from Professor X was nice to see. I can totally believe that those aspects were in his character before the events of X-MEN and X2. This is a man who stress affected, who knew the stakes were higher, and knew the graveness of the situation. I liked that.

Actually, I can somewhat agree with you on this one Guard. The Professor can be a downright bastard. He has had similar emotional moments in the comics, but I felt this aspect of his personality was rushed. It's too much of a sudden jump. They don't really seem to ease into it, and half the time it's misdirected at Wolverine . . . nor is the Professor really given any time to come down from being a jackass because he's suddenly dead (and generally when he gets angry, he has the character to come down off his high horse and be reasonable, whereas here, he's pretty much dies leaving the impression that he's deceitful and manipulative). Although, I did like his parting words to Jean, "Don't let it control you" because it seemed more in line with the Professor's character rather than his misplaced snipping at Wolverine ("What have you done?!"). The Professor's behavior seemed almost as eratic as Jean's, but she was supposed to have two conflicting personalities.

I just think that when the X-Men went to Alcatraz, Angel should have approached them, and asked to go with them, because his father was there.

They could have given him a suit, and he could have gone into the battle as part of the team. It would have been awesome I think.
