This movie was robbed blind from Kathy Bates(acting) to Taylor Hackford(directing).I remained shocked that Bates wasn't even nominated for best actress and she's even better here than she was in Misery and she got an oscar for that role(she deserved it).I haven't read the book so I can't compare or comment on what was added and what was taken out of it but all I can say is that Dolores Claiborne is severely underrated and it's a shame because it's a great movie.
