Just Go With It

I only watched it because Brooklyn Decker is in it, but otherwise I wasn't impressed. 2/5

Watched them in that order. Decided to save the 2004 movie for last as it's my favorite and figured why not save my favorite for the last to cap it off.

Legend 7/10

Magnificent looking film . Also Tim Curry was great as Darkness.

Been meaning to watch The 04 Punisher and Warzone back to back one of these days. They aren't sequelsor connected but I like to view them as if they are. Theres things I like about all three but all three are also lacking. I think The 89 Punisher is underrated.

One day I may watch all three back to back to back. Start with 04, then 89, then Warzone to see the character at different periods in his career as The Punisher even though they aren't connected.

Got that on DVD recently. been meaning to sit down and watch it. Got a lot of DVD catching up to do.

Steve McQueen delivered a brutal and powerful debut film. Fassbender, in his fiercely dedicated performance, was simply spectacular.

4/5

Dated but an admirable effort for it's time. 5/10

I like Tom Selleck, but I always avoided those because they seemed(or were)DTV movies. Wasn't sure if they were all that great. You seemed to like them and I trust your judgement/taste, I'll probably give them a whirl since I think they're both streaming on Netflix.

Have you read the books? Selleck is great in it and given the several he's adapted I'm guessing he's a fan.

3/5,This movie did not age well(nor did the series)But I still find it decent&a classic,Story was interesting&good But some stuff could have been handled better,Writing&Direction was alright and acting was slightly better than the shows(not saying much though)But costumes&sets like the command center were done great and I always wished they had used those for the shows after the movie's release,One thing that bugged me the most was the original group not being in this and I understand why But.....They could have tried to get the actors to reprise Jason/Zack&Triny(not sure IF she died during this filming though)and have them help the rangers or something!!!!

Overall it's still a decent super-hero movie!

Never heard of the books, just looked it up on Netflix and Selleck made around 6 of these films.

Jesse Stone: Stone Cold

Awesome Avy by the way.

I thought as it's the first, but as I found out, while it was the first, Night Passage, which was the second movie, is actually a prequel where Stone first arrives in Paradise, so you might want to check that out first.

Thanks. :D

Thanks for the heads up about Night Passage. I'll swap it with Stone Cold.

Oh, man Jesse Stone? Whenever I hear that name of the movie I think of this:

That's a good way to look at it. Although the three movies are unrelated, the 1989 movie and PWZ could easily play out as sequels to the 2004 movie. I find all three enjoyable but each has their own flaws, no doubt.

I think the 1989 movie is underrated as well. I actually think I may be growing to prefer it to PWZ. PWZ is fun, but the campiness at times takes me out of it. The 1989 movie has it's moments of cheese, but is much darker in tone overall.

Punisher 89 has got some good action pieces and I think I prefer Dolphs take as a burnt out avenger over Stevensons cold stoic one. I like Ray Stevenson in the part though. He's got the best look of all three and while I think Jane was probably the best actor I think Stevenson could have been the total package but he was surrounded by a movie that was a little to over the top.

If Jane hadn't walked I can imagine how good his Punisher Warzone with his choice of Walter Hill directing would have been like. I lay all the blame at Lionsgates feet though. They didn't give a f***.

A shame we can't mix and match because between P89, P04 and P:WZ I think there's one truly great Punisher movie between them.

Some decent effects and some poor ones, some decent performances and some poor ones, all in all a mixed bag. 6/10

The best of the Jesse Stone movies I've seen so far, good plot and once again the atmosphere and acting is very good. Selleck really is great as Stone, I don't know how close to the books he's played it but in these movie's the character is interesting and layered and just plain enjoyable to watch as he goes about solving the cases and the small town problems. 7/10
