Bad Teacher

I wasn't expecting much but it was pretty good. I was mistaken it to be PG-13 but it wasn't. Had a lot of laughs, it could've been a little big longer to show more development but it was alright.
8/10

Punisher 89 has got some good action pieces and I think I prefer Dolphs take as a burnt out avenger over Stevensons cold stoic one. I like Ray Stevenson in the part though. He's got the best look of all three and while I think Jane was probably the best actor I think Stevenson could have been the total package but he was surrounded by a movie that was a little to over the top.

If Jane hadn't walked I can imagine how good his Punisher Warzone with his choice of Walter Hill directing would have been like. I lay all the blame at Lionsgates feet though. They didn't give a f***.

A shame we can't mix and match because between P89, P04 and P:WZ I think there's one truly great Punisher movie between them.

Oh I definitely agree. I think if you took the best aspects from all three movies (the action and darker mood of 1989, Jane's Punisher and the more serious tone of 2004, and the comic origin and setting of PWZ) and put them together, you'd have the essential Punisher film. I'm still at a loss as to why Lion's Gate insisted on going the direction they did with PWZ.

All the actors matched their roles very well, and the traditional origin plot was handeled equally well. However the special effects have not aged well and it often hindered my enjoyment of the film. Still pretty good - 8/10

Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon

What a grotesque, silly movie.

Clash of the Titans

Some decent effects and some poor ones, some decent performances and some poor ones, all in all a mixed bag. 6/10

That's how I felt about it. Too uneven for me to really enjoy so I just stick with the original.

Legend

Got that on DVD recently. been meaning to sit down and watch it. Got a lot of DVD catching up to do.

I'm not sure how that would hold up if you didn't grow up with it. I watched it many times as a kid so there's a bit of nostalgia. However Tim Curry still rocks. Hope you enjoy it.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of The Clones
Star Wars EPisode III: Revenge of The Sith
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars Episode VI: Return of The Jedi

Cries and Whispers - 5/5

After my second viewing of this film I still stand by that's one of the finest and fully-realized works of Bergman's. It's haunting but also profoundly moving. The uses of silence and the uses of the color red throughout the film only adds to its ominous nature. It contains remarkable performances from the four leading ladies and the ending is still heartbreaking.

I grew up with it. I just haven't seen it since I was a kid. It was one of those 80's fantasy movies I enjoyed growing up.

9/10 Great film by Clint Eastwood, some scenes are really well done, very intense.

You gonna do somethin'? Or are you just gonna stand there and bleed?

Classic cat & mouse chase thriller with Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones on top form. The stunning escape from the wreckage of the prison bus in the face of an oncoming train, that was the most expensive stunt ever shot at the time (1st $1M stunt I believe) still holds up today because it's real. The story is great with plenty of twists and some great set pieces, director Andrew Davis looked like he was going to be one to watch. 9/10

:awesome: :up::up::up:

Faster

The Rock as a lot of catching up to do. But this was as good a start as any.

That showdown with the preacher still gets me.
