The Help

I caught the first 30+ mins back when it came out in theaters and it really got my interest so I had to finish it. This was a great emotional story from beginning to end no doubt about it. Everyone was great in their performances. Instead of thinking it's something you see on Lifetime, it's something you can see winning best actress and best supporting actress. Emma Stone continues to be phenomenal ..and smoking hot

Superman Returns, I have a love hate relationship with this film depending on my mood. I always really really enjoy it until after the plane scene coincidentally thats when Lois enters and starts to bring the film down. Parts of it still rock but she ruins it. Still have alot of love for this movie but its problems are too obvious. You should never sit watching a film thinking I'd change this that and this all the way through maybe when Man of Steel hits I'll be more forgiving.

Was really surprised with this one. After hearing a lot of people trashing it, I didn't find it to be that bad. Makes up for Paranormal Activity.

No matter how terrible Paranormal Activity was, at least it's led to Insidious and Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, so they're a necessary evil. Now if only those goddamn Twilight films led to some good vampire films....

Insidious is good old school scares. I found it very interesting, specially the first and second acts. When the title appears for the first time... chills.

Being that it's an indie film it was never going to have a fully happy ending but it's a cathartic and bittersweet drama about three damaged people finding a little bit of hope in each other.

The performances are superb and raw, with Stewart in particular outstanding in her portrayal of a stripper come hooker who is not as tough or as savvy as she first appears, the way Stewart reveals the true person behind the foul mouthed "Nobody's little girl" is beautifully done. 8/10

Tower Heist--7/10

Fun heist comedy. The jokes weren't all hits, but there were a lot of funny lines and good characters. I especially liked Michael Pena, and it's good to see Eddie Murphy in something more like his 80s roles.

Hoover and Tolson had interesting characterization, and DiCaprio and Hammer played them very well. Overall, though, the movie wasn't as exciting as it could have been, largely because the plot structure hurt the pace.

Prime dying so early on and Megatron becoming Galvatron far too early. IMO, both should've occured mid-way through the film, maybe after the first 45-50 minutes.

But awesome movie otherwise, and IMO worlds better than the three-live action movies put together.
