Win Win

This is a really fine film. Funny, sweet and entertaining. I was surprised I liked it so much.

Red Eye

7/10

As I said before, it's an interesting film that falls apart after it leaves the plane.

Jack & Jill

Awful movie, truly abhorrent and one of the worst I have ever sat through. I am a big Sandler fan and despite not liking a movie he's done since Click I sat down and watched this. Big mistake. I could stand Sandler's cock 'n balls voice in a short audio sketch. But 90 minutes of it? Not so much.

The one saving grace of this movie and the only reason I might ever recommend it to another sentient being is Pacino, who seemingly takes the whole thing seriously and turns out a damn funny, entertaining performance. Al's been accused of being hammy in the past but the man is a ****ing professional here.

Act of Valor

6/10

Fairly well made (it had some good shots and the actors were pretty solid for people who aren't actors) but held back by generic characters.

This movie has put me off Sandler for life. The guy is a hack. Watch RedLetterMedias review and be amazed at how much of a money grabbing hack the guy is. This whole movie was simply an excercize to get him and his friends loads of money at the expense of fans. And the product placement is beyond ridiculous.

I saw that Half in the Bag review and it was just baffling. I've enjoyed some of Adam Sandlers movies but creating something so abhorrently terrible and making such a blatant cash grab is shameful.

Yea it's a shame, because I did like Sandler and i love a lot of his movies. But Jack and Jill was just... ghastly and has completely changed my opinion of him.

I just watched this. Pretty damn good. Happy they kept a version of the CO2E main theme. I like that, besides the Leagers, they mixed a few returning voice actors from JL and STAS with new people. I caught David Kaufman's voice right away.

I LOOOOOOVED Claudia Black as Cheetah. Somehow those two click together perfectly in my head. Now she's what I'll hear in my head whenever I read Cheetah dialog.

This is probably my idea JL team voice cast.

Interesting that Rosenbaum is playing Barry Allen in this and not a new version of Wally West. Guess it was mandated that it would be Barry. On JL he played Wally with elements of the Barry character.

Its not a close match to Tower of babel but even though it goes off in its own direction I still like it. The story definitely brings the epic. Dammit why did McDuffie have to die? He was a good writer. I'd love it if he ever scripted that Justice League movie I'll never see in my lifetime. If anyone could make that work he could have.

Cyborg comes close to being "The Wesley" but its not so bad.

The film was a lot of fun and makes me wish we had gotten a proper live action JLA movie at some point

Copland

A movie about a region that is a law unto itself, as it is owned and run by cops, corrupt cops, they become corrupt because they answer to no-one, and have unlimited power as a result.
It's interesting, because throughout the film they justify everything to themselves and each other, they are surrounded only by corrupt cops, so don't really see themselves as doing anything bad.
There is one local, somewhat slow witted cop, with a hearing problem, who ends up exposing them all.

Armageddon

terrible movie, I'm sure most would agree, as this was made by the one director who gets unreserved hatred thrown at him around here. That is, when he's not being patronised with faint praise.
