Jurassic Park (1993)

I keep forgetting Samuel L. Jackson's in this movie.

In Time (2011)
This movie actually surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing from the reviews, but I was intrigued by the plot in itself, so I decided to take a chance and buy it. I actually liked it quite a bit. I was surprised to see Olivia Wylde and Cillian Murphy in it. Oh, and Justin Timberlake (I thought) did a pretty good job in this. I did find the beginning a lot more interesting, it seemed like it was building up for something more interesting than it did, but I still enjoyed all of it. 8/10

May watch it a couple more times.

4/5

Had no idea Klaus Kinski had a small role in this.

Bridesmaids

A surprisingly decent comedy. The biggest drawback is its predictable outcome, but then again, I was expecting it to be formulaic.

Double Jeopardy, Kiss the Girls, Disturbia. All movies were pretty good, seen them before, and enjoy them on repeat viewings.

Wrath of the Titans

7/10

Better than I expected, but still not in the 'See it again' category for me. Several missed opportunities that I could go an about, but would probably fit better in the actual WotT thread.

Blood Diamond

As a message film it's decent. I can't say I'm qualified to discuss the ongoings of Africa. But as a film I really dig it. It's expertly directed, like if David Lean had made Apocalypse Now. Djimon Honsou was a goddamn powerhouse in this film.

Battle Royale

My face during the whole thing;

Great stuff!

(Just wish they'd kept Beltrami's badass main theme fromt he first one)

Margin Call

Is to boringness as Special Forces was to stupidity.

Wrath of the Titans

The first movie was awful beyond words and the second movie is a step up because it is mediocre but should we really be celebrating a mediocre movie?

I really liked the creatures and the movie isn't mind numbingly boring like the first film but it's still stupid, has no characters to root for or care about, has no story and the performances are lazy as hell. The actual good actors like Finnes and Nesson are wasted because all the do is sit in a cave and yack and get hit by a glowing stick until the end when they are actually involved in the action and show Sam Blandington what badass really is.

I don't understand the fanboy community anymore when they praise Titans and John Carter. The latter is a slightly above average film and nothing more yet it's treated as if it is some hidden gem.

^^ Thanks for the little review. I'll wait for the DVD.

Clash of the titans was a awful movie, my opinion too.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Oh well.....

Spider-Man 2
:funny:/10

I honestly find this series the funniest movie franchise these days, I laugh uncontrollably on the cheese, dorky Peter, when Peter is talking stupid to MJ, Ock and his tentacles screaming in the hospital after murdering all the doctors....
:lmao:

There still are stuff to take the movies seriously, Aunt May is definitely a winner here

The Hunger Games - 7/10 pretty good. Interesting story & J Lawrence is a great female lead. Action bit lighter than expected.

Season of the Witch- Watchable because of the absurdity of the Cage
Ninotchka 7/10
The Lost Weekend 9/10
