That's a shame. I lost my top over this film when I was a kid. I'd never seen Gothic horror in an insane asylum before.

The first half of the film is actually pretty good, surprisingly it's when they go to hell is when it takes a turn for the worst. The dialogue and decisions made are pretty lame. Yeah it's cool seeing Pinhead and the other cenobites again but it could have been a lot better.

I wonder how it would have been if Barker decided to write the sequel instead of just producing.

The movie has nearly nothing in common with the TV-series. Some ideas are priceless hilarious, so the fly with the tank.

As German it's funny to see the cathedral of Cologne in Frankfurt.
