Chronicle

Might as well be one of the best superhero film in a while. It was pretty much if they combined the X-Men films with Akria. The performance was amazing with everyone and I really dug the story. My only two minor complaints was
the "killed off the black guy" trope
and a little bit of the CGI (especially when they were moving small objects). 2012 is off to a great start.

Woman in Black

A great atmospheric horror film, Daniel Radcliffe did a fantastic job. My only problem with this was the amount of jump scares, which are done well for the most part. There was too many and not enough genuine scary moments. The end was done perfectly with the genuine scary/creepy vibe.
7.5/10

How to Train Your Dragon.

Pretty damn good. This movie has an immense amount of style, and features one of more interesting lead characters I've seen in a while. Although it doesn't introduce anything new to the genre, it is crafted in such a way that it feels like something completely different. The music is also ****ing spectacular.

Colossus and the Amazon Queen

Duel of the Champions

Atlas In The Land of the Cyclops

The Tree of Life--9.5/10

It's incredible how much emotion Malick portrayed with brief images and relatively few words. The only thing I'm kind of on the fence about is whether or not I think the movie was a bit too long. I didn't get bored or anything, but the sequences near the beginning with the [blackout]creation of the universe, dinosaurs, and general advancement of time[/blackout] take a solid 20 minutes, and that might have been more than what was needed to convey the theme. In any case, it's still a terrific film.

The Squid and the Whale--6.5/10

I enjoyed it somewhat but ended up unsatisfied with the lack of closure for most of the character development.

Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country (1991), for the first time in God knows how long...

Trapped in Paradise - 8/10

Cage Rating - 9/10

A solid comedy film co-starring Dana Carvey and John Levitz with a nice plot and good laughs.

The Wicker Man - Serious Rating - 2/10

Comedy Rating - 10/10

Cage Rating - 10/10

Seeing this a second time is just.... yeah. The key it to not take this seriously. If you do, it's a terrible film. If you don't take it seriously, it's a fantastic comedy.

Gran Torino - 8/10

The Wicker Man is so hilariously bad it borders on genius. I sometimes think they intended it to be the way it is. And if they did? Yea, genius.
