Why is the state flag not good enough?
The confederate flag....whatever. My cousin's neighbor down in Indianapolis has a big ass one hanging from his balcony. I'm not sure what it's supposed to represent. From my history lessons, it basically was the symbol of the south back in the civil war to say they were their own country...so what are you trying to imply if you wear it proudly today?

Jag, what's Ted got to do with this?
Yeah, pride in committing treason and wanting to keep your slave laws. This isnt a Yankee telling you this either.
Pride in what? Please educate.
I see a confederate flag, I see a people who fought to keep the right to enslave a fellow man, amongst other things. Please educate us ignorant people.

Let's put it in perspective for a second. Imagine if the federal government started gettting super-eco-friendly, and decided to put a ban on owning and operating all cars made after 1985. If you had one, you had to get rid of it-you couldn't sell it, not even to a scrapyard, and anyone caught with one would be a federal criminal. Imagine all the people this would piss off.
I'm sorry maybe it's because we're in a different time but it sounds like just making excuses for bigoted ancestors. No matter how you spin it, I could never equate another person for a piece of equipment.
They never should have had the right to buy that person in the first place. It's bull****.

I look at redneck culture the same way I look at urban gangsta culture.
They both emphasize ignorant posturing over intellectualism, so I mock them both equally.
