Previously Singer said that all recovered lost footage and dialogue from Jor-El intended for Superman 2 would in some way find itself in the new film, after seeing the movie all of Brando's dialogue was from Superman '78, did it get cut out?

I think they decided to use that for the Donner cut of Superman II instead....coming soon on DVD!

why is the WB acting like a tranvestite??? are they that confused HAAHAHA :P

Marlon is dead.

Dead people can't read there lines off of index cards haha!!!

Wow, you're so very funny

What, Brando was read his lines of cards. In the snowflake spaceship from S:TM, they placed the cards where baby Kal-El was sitting so Brando could look down and read off them.

Did Brando think he was above remembering his lines?

There has to be something new in there with Brando, cause Routh said so in an interview just a week ago... and I'll know, when I hear it!

He never memorized lines. Watch the godfather, when he's talking to Michael in the yard, he's looking up around seemingly remorseful that michael was sucked into the family business. He's actually reading the lines from the cards they placed around.

When Superman was sinking, wasn't the Jor-el dialogue about people betraying and having a traiterous heart or something? I remember not ever hearing it before.

Its called method acting.

Yea there is a method behind his acting, the method of reading lines off an index card

yeah, that was the only new brando monologue bit. Everything else was recycled and reorganized from STM.

You mean dialogue that went like this "it's in a humans nature to abuse those resources" or something to that effect? It's in the special edition DVD of Superman where Supes talks to Jor-El after his first night.

The dialogue was new, if you haven't seen the special edition of Supes 1.

I was always under the impression that they were taking dialogue from the cut scenes of S2 and using it in the movie.I didn't here any new dialogue.I only heard stuff from S1.Please tell me if Im wrong.

Singer is a liar... He said that there would be footage that was not seen before because it was cut from the original movies, and look what we got!
Stuff that we saw in the original movies, and nothing new at all!
It was all a cheap lie to just get Brando in this movie...

That's not entirely true. Don't be so sure of yourself because it makes you look like a dumbass. There were new things in this film. "You do not remeber me" was completely new. The line itself, was not.

Get your story straight pal or shut your pie hole.

Alot of it had to do with Donner deciding to use alot of the deleted footage originally planned to be used in SR in his own cut of Superman II on DVD.

In Superman Returns...when you "see" Brando talking...the dialoge has been used before, but not the pictures. You "heard" him saying this in STMP while baby Kal El is in his spaceship on his way to Earth....Singer used the actual "filmed" footage of him saying this in SR's FOS scene.

Are we to then assume that Donner's Superman II is being tailored to better fit Superman Returns, continuity-wise?

I recall hearing something about how in Donner's cut of Superman II, Superman and Lois "do the deed" BEFORE he decides to give up his powers. That would make better sense...in regards of Jason.
